DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

FBG Goat talked about his new album Pendleton, changing his name from FBG Baby Goat to FBG Goat, and being a 5 star recruit linebacker out of junior high school. Jayson talked about his new Midnight Rambler EP, his distribution deal with Asylum Records through Warner Music, and the unfortunate death of Takeoff. He discussed his Homecoming video, Self Love receiving praise from Meagan Good, La-La Anthony, and Jazmine Sullivan, and why self love is more important than others' validation. Thank you to Richmond, Virginia's own Jazz and Hip-Hop group Butcher Brown for coming on my show for an interview! Butcher Brown talked about their new album Butcher Brown Presents Triple Trey, meeting at Virginia Commonwealth University Health, and #KingButch being their first official studio album. They discussed making their albums in the studio vs. performing their work live, deconstructing big band jazz and reshaping it into solar music, and signing to Concord. They also got into their Tiny Desk experience, their cover of Little Richard's Rip It Up being used for the theme song of Monday Night Football in 2020 and 2021, and covering The Notorious B.I.G.'s classic song Unbelievable off of Ready to Die. Thank you to Atlanta’s own Sol Messiah for coming on my show for an interview. Sol Messiah talked about his upcoming album GOD CMPLX that is dropping on all platforms this Friday, joining the legendary Rock Steady Crew, and working with music producer Dallas Austin back in the day. He discussed working with Madonna, TLC, Boyz II Men, and Monica. He got into becoming the main collaborator with Sa-Roc, why female emcees are not categorized with male emcees, and the elements of Hip-Hop not being taught in schools in America like they are in Europe/overseas.

Thank you to Queens' own Bobby J From Rockaway and Detroit's own Hush for coming on my show for an interview! Bobby J and Hush discussed their new album 7182313, connecting back in the day via AOL chats, and when Hush noticed Bobby J's talent and wanted to work with him. Bobby J talked about what keeps him going, in which he keeps getting getter lyrically with time. Hush talked about his early beginnings of being apart of Da Ruckus, meeting Eminem for the first time, and being based loosely on the character of Wink in 8 Mile. Bobby J talked about his upcoming song with MC Serch called Round Here, his upcoming project with Nef, and when he will be ready to sign a major record deal. Hush also got into J. Dilla playing him Slum Village's Players before it released, The Game's Eminem Black Slim Shady Diss, and if Eminem should respond. Hush is also planning a new project with Bobby J as well as his first solo album since 2014. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Berkeley, California and the Bay Area's own Rexx Life Raj for coming on my show for an interview! Rexx Life Raj talked about his new album The Blue Hour, going through grief from losing both of his parents in 2021, and creating this new album as a form of therapy to not only help himself, but others who are dealing with the loss of loved ones as well. He discussed questioning God after losing his parents, the importance of speaking to a therapist, and how his artistry has changed since the grief period. He got into playing football, tackle and guard, at Boise State University and the changes that football may eventually make due to players getting CTE. He also talked about going to middle and high school with G-Eazy, going through a bad depression phase after graduating from college, and working for free for his parents' package delivery service company. Rexx also spoke about getting his manager Ari, signing with Empire, DJ Kay Slay being the first major radio show that he freestyled on, and the importance of giving back to charity. Big thank you to Brooklyn, New York’s own Kota the Friend for coming on my show for an interview! Kota talked about his new album MEMO, why it is his last album for awhile, and his upcoming Flight Night (NYC) shows at Sony Hall. He discussed the importance of his song Father’s Day, how each generation of father’s should be better than the last, and attending the Brooklyn High School of the Arts as well as going to Five Towns College for Trumpet. He got into starting out finding his style on Jay-Z In My Lifetime instrumentals, outselling headliners in Los Angeles, and when he understood his self-worth, in which he wanted to stay independent. Kota also talked about his Free Not Woke Podcast, Johnny Depp winning his case against Amber Heard bringing closure to what he faced in the past on social media, and what he has learned from going to therapy.

Shoutout to Brooklyn's own R&B singer and songwriter Tony Thames for coming on my show for an interview! Tony discussed wanting to be a walk on for the University of Maryland's basketball team, suffering from a serious ankle injury in 2007, and his transition to music. He talked about starting out wanting to create rock music, making R&B, and moving out to Los Angeles as well as selling beats to survive out there. He got into having an unreleased song with 50 Cent, accepting that success doesn't happen overnight, and why Drake is the greatest rapper of all time. Thank you to Atlanta, Georgia's own DJ Scream for coming on my show for an interview! DJ Scream talked about getting his start as a DJ, going on tour with Montell Jordan and building Hoodrich Entertainment & Hoodrich Radio. He discussed signing a label deal with Rick Ross and what Ross taught him about the business side of music as well as attending Tuskegee, where he majored in engineering. He got into his hit mixtapes, Shawty Lo introducing him to Rocko, in which he met Future at the very beginning of his career. DJ Scream also spoke about his hit show Big Facts getting picked up by REVOLT TV, expanding the show to Big Facts Friday, and his definition of making it in the music/entertainment industry.

Thank you to 2x Grammy Nominated R&B Singer and Songwriter Eric Roberson for coming on my show for an interview! Eric talked about his new album Lessons, his new book Lessons: 100 Thoughts on Life & Love, and when he started to believe that God was teaching him lessons at certain points of his life. He discussed his experience at Howard University's musical theater program, his deal with Warner Records and Island Records falling through, and how going back to college changed him as a person/artist. He got into being independent for 21 years with his own label B.L.U.E. ERRO SOUL, being on tour with El DeBarge, and paying homage to Kenny Greene on his song All I Want off of his new album Lessons. He also talked about teaching at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, the importance of picking up the pen on his worst days, and the two new books that he is currently working on.
