DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to Ken Sagoes for calling into my show for an interview! Ken Sagoes discussed playing his famous role as Kincaid in A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, seeing Robert Englund for the first time in the Freddy Krueger makeup, and what he learned most from working with Robert. He talked about Laurence Fishburne teaching him how to be a physical actor on the set of Dream Warriors, if there could be a remake of Dream Warriors, and his time as a staff writer for Paramount Pictures. He got into his time starting out as a security guard at Universal Pictures, studying under Marlon Brando and Edmund J. Cambridge, and his conversations with legends such as Alfred Hitchcock and Vincent Price. He won numerous awards for his short film Mc Henry Trial - Don't Judge a Kid By Their Hoodie that released in 2020. He is currently working on an important short film called The Secret Weapon that addresses the deplorable actions of Bull Connor and is raising money for it. Huge thank you to legendary actress Adrienne Barbeau for coming on my show for an interview! Adrienne discussed her early life, her move from San Jose to New York, playing the first Rizzo in Grease on Broadway, and her time as a Go-go dancer for the mob. She talked about her experience on the hit TV sitcom Maude as Carol Traynor and reuniting with Bea Arthur on The View in 2007. She got into her role as Stevie Wayne in John Carpenter's The Fog and the radio host that inspired her role. Adrienne also got into her role as Wilma in Creepshow's The Crate, originally not wanting to be apart of the film, what it meant to be apart of the new Creepshow series on Shudder, and her experience of working with Wes Craven on Swamp Thing. She touched on her role as Rodney Dangerfield's wife in Back to School and voicing Catwoman in the Batman animated series from 1992-1995. In 1998, she released her own self-titled Country/Folk album. Adrienne described the moment when she realized that it was time to write a memoir titled There Are Worse Things I Could Do, which released in 2007. She has contributed to video games voicing Hera in God of War III, Dr. Tillson in Halo 4, Fallout 76, and Pink Eye in Mad Max that released in 2015. She has a lot on the way including a book on Grease, an episode of AJ & the Queen Ru-Paul, and Cowboy Bebop on Netflix. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Yan Birch aka The Stairmaster from The People Under the Stairs for coming on my show for my first interview of my 2021 October Horror shows! Yan Birch discussed life of growing up in Sweden, his first Horror film being Roger Corman's Slumber Party Massacre III, and getting the role as The Stairmaster in Wes Craven's 1991 classic The People Under the Stairs. He told stories of Wes Craven expanding his role in the film, hiding on a rooftop from people from Universal Studios when he went over-budget, and helping Brandon Adams get into his scene at the end of the film. Yan revealed that him and Wes remained close friends for years and there were talks of a sequel to The People Under the Stairs, but Wes never thought it could surpass the original. It was confirmed in 2015 that Wes Craven was going to make a People Under the Stairs TV series for SyFy, in which he was going to bring back original cast members including Yan. Yan got into his newest work including 99 Problems and Tale of Tails. He announced that there will be a 30th Anniversary People Under the Stairs panel at a convention in New Mexico this October on Halloween weekend with some of the original cast members.

Shoutout to New Orleans' own Pell for coming on my show for an interview! Pell discussed his newest album Floating While Dreaming II, forming the collective glbl wrmng, and glbl wrmng's newest project Vol.1. He got into having a musical background, how Floating While Dreaming became one of the top independent projects in 2014, and what he learned from G-Eazy while being on tour with him. He talked about getting traction with Floating While Dreaming back in 2014 when social media had not become the go to platform for record labels looking for artists doing numbers instead of artists who have actual talent. He also talked about his recent experience of doing songs for Apple Music commercials and the song Queso off of the Tom & Jerry The Movie soundtrack. He announced that he is already panning to release new music soon. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to the legendary 2x Grammy Award winning producer Drumma Boy for coming on my show for an interview! Drumma Boy discussed being born into a musical family, attending the University of Memphis, and making connections with Outkast, Pastor Troy, Gangsta Boo, Scarface, and Bun B, while in college. He reflected on Drake name dropping him in the hit song that he produced for Birdman called Money to Blow and knowing that Drake would blow up to be the biggest artist in music. He stressed the importance of giving advice and helping young creatives & producers like the legends did for him. He told the story of R. Kelly stealing and taking credit for the Salute beat that he produced for Whitney Houston, the first time he saw Jay-Z, and Beyoncé being his top goal to produce for. He got into his musical work for TV & film, including Empire, Monica's BET reality series Still Standing, Pepsi commercials, and his upcoming soundtrack release. We went over the hits he produced over the years including: Jeezy's Standing Ovation & Put On, Waka Flaka Flame's No Hands, and Migos' Look At My Dab. He also talked about how it felt winning 2 Grammy Awards on his production work for Usher. His new album Drumma Boy & Friends will feature Ludacris, Migos, Mulatto, Young Dolph, and Gucci Mane. Thank you to Atlanta and Decatur, Georgia's own GRIP for coming on my show for an interview! GRIP talked about his early life, the story behind the music video for his new song Gutter, and signing with Eminem to Shady Records. He got into what Eminem said to him that makes him so different from everyone else in Hip-Hop right now. He discussed his earliest projects including: Porch, Snubnose, and Halo EP. Snubnose is an important project as it discusses the struggles that black people go through in America as well as police brutality. GRIP revealed that his first love in entertainment was film and just announced his acting debut for a short film produced by Common. He mentioned that he wants to get into behind the camera work for films in the future. He also got into his appreciation for Nirvana and the 90's grunge music. GRIP announced that he will be dropping his Shady Records debut album this month! Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Grammy nominated R&B singer and songwriter Rico Love for coming on my show for an interview! Rico Love discussed why Hip-Hop is the most important genre in music, why rappers receive the most criticism for having writers unlike singers, and writing poems at an early age as well as reciting Langston Hughes at the African American Children's Theater. He got into his experience in college at Florida A&M University, never losing a rap battle, meeting Jagged Edge, and connecting with The Corna Boyz, which eventually led him to getting signed by Usher. His first placement in the music industry was Usher's Throwback off of his classic album Confessions. We talked about his numerous amount of writing and production work, writing for his mentor Diddy, and having his own songwriting classes. He spoke about his hit song They Don't Know and knew that was going to be the song to put him on the map as an R&B singer. He also discussed creating his own label Division 1, his We Love Music Conference, being elected Vice Chair of the Grammys, and today's artists not caring/knowing about the legendary artists that came before them. Rico is currently working on a book that will be releasing soon that will focus on the ins and outs of the music business & songwriting. He is also starting to put together his next album, which may be Even Kings Die 2 as well as some scripts for movies and TV shows. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Vallejo, CA's own Yhung T.O. for coming on my show for an interview! Yhung T.O. discussed his new album On My Momma 3: Angels & Demons, why he chose the On My Momma's to be a trilogy in his discography, and paying homage to Nelly's Luven Me on his song Ineffable. He talked about the impact that 2Pac and Nelly had on Hip-Hop. He gave his view point on the current sound of Hip-Hop in relation to the viral T-Pain video with certain rappers trying to sound like other rappers. He stressed the importance of looking up to the greats and using Nipsey Hussle as an inspiration to stay true to yourself and wanting to see everyone win. He also talked about the most important conversation that he had with a Hip-Hop legend besides Nipsey Hussle that included both E-40 and Snoop Dogg. He closed out the show reflecting on his memorable Coachella performance, recording Paramedic! for the Black Panther soundtrack, the upcoming performances that he has in the near future, and his upcoming project with Lil Sheik. Big thank you to "G.I." and Shazam of the legendary R&B group H-Town for coming on my show for interview! "G.I." discussed how the group was originally called The Gents, signing to Luther Campbell's independent record label Luke Records, and their time on the 1993 Coca-Cola Summer Fest tour with SWV, Naughty By Nature, Silk, and LLCoolJ. He also got into recording Part Time Lover for the Above the Rim soundtrack and the collaboration record that was supposed to happen between H-Town and 2Pac, but didn't happen because 2Pac was killed two weeks before the recording session. H-Town's song that was supposed to feature 2Pac is Die for You off of their album Ladies Edition. Shazam and "G.I" talked about changing their Knockin da Boots sound of R&B to uplifting women on Ladies Edition and the impact that it had on their career. We ended the show going over their newest project Date Night, the video for their song Super Love, and reaction to their induction into the 2019 R&B Hall of Fame. Big thank you to Hip-Hop legend and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's own Krayzie Bone for coming on my show for an interview! Krayzie Bone discussed his new album Leaves of Legends, the artists that he currently manages, his canibus strand called "First of the Month", and the upcoming Bone Thugs-N-Harmony & TLC tour starting this September. He talked about the important non-profit organization that he created that is located in both Ohio and California called "Spread the Love Foundation" that will help bring performing arts to schools. He got into his friendship with Eazy-E, his most memorable times with him, and how For Tha Love of $ came about. We got into the recent passing of Hip-Hop legend Biz Markie and Krayzie Bone shared a story about meeting Biz Markie, in which Biz walked away from his DJ set at a party and went up to see Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. We also talked about Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's legendary collaboration on Notorious Thugs with The Notorious B.I.G. and Krayzie Bone's verse on Chamillionaire's Ridin', which eventually won a Grammy Award in 2005. Krayzie Bone has a lot on the way including solo projects, possible Ewing sneakers, and both solo and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony tours. He also announced that a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony biopic is currently in the works!
