DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to Ira From Staten Island for calling into my show! We talked about the New York Jets' 2022 Season, their loss to the Buffalo Bills yesterday, and Zach Wilson progressing in the last five games of the season. We discussed what the Jets should and may do in this year's 2022 NFL Draft and Free Agency. We also got into the passing of NY Jets Hall of Fame wide receiver Don Maynard, the Giants keeping Joe Judge, the Dolphins firing Brian Flores, and our predictions for who will play in the Super Bowl.

Thank you to Charlotte, North Carolina's own Reuben Vincent for coming on my show for an interview! Reuben discussed signing to Roc Nation, meeting Jay-Z for the first time, and the story of how he signed to 9th Wonder's Jamla Records. He talked about his life story of growing up in Charlotte, having his song placement No Problems in Madden NFL 20, and wanting to win at the Oscars in 10 years. He got into keeping his composure when meeting Kendrick Lamar, being in the studio with Busta Rhymes, and the need for more work to be done in regards to police brutality as well as social injustice. He also talked about when he started to believe in the power of manifestation, manifesting being apart of Roc Nation, and putting a lot of time into his debut album. He did not reveal a date for his debut album, but mentioned that he has work with Swizz Beats, Rapsody, and more major artists on the way. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Hip-Hop legend and one of the greatest emcees/lyricists of all time Ras Kass for coming on my show for an interview! Ras Kass talked about his classic album Soul On Ice, exposing racism as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas on Nature of the Threat, and the story behind clearing the Al B. Sure! Oooh This Love Is So sample for his song Anything Goes. He discussed his thoughts on racism in America, religion, and America as well as the Hip-Hop audience turning its back on lyrical Hip-Hop. He got into hanging out with Big L, being in The Tunnel with Big Pun, and being at Fat Joe's John Blaze video shoot. He also told the story of hanging out with Nas and Jay-Z on the same day that Ether dropped. He revealed what he has heard from rappers in the industry such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony that these record companies did and are doing as far as keeping real lyrical Hip-Hop music from being sold and promoted. Ras also got into Kanye West and how he played him The College Dropout before it released. He mentioned possibly moving out of America and relocating to Portugal. He revealed that he has a project with Havoc and RJ Payne on the way that will be releasing next year in 2022. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Chicago's own and next up and coming artist Yung Swerv for coming on my show for an interview! Yung Swerv talked about his new Stormy Nights EP, being introduced to Hip-Hop by his cousin, and his conversation with Polo G about being the opening act at some of his shows. He got into not having any performances yet, losing friends when he got successful, and how he formed his team Mudd Bruddaz. He also talked about what makes the Chicago Rap Scene the best kept secret in the Hip-Hop scene and his main goals for 2022. LaRussell talked about his new album It'll All Make Sense When It's Done, his own independent company/label Good Compenny, and potentially signing with Russ. He discussed working with E-40 on P-LO's Again, being open to a major deal, and why numbers & analytics don't matter. He got into the struggles he faced in 2019 around New Years and how he was able to overcome the hardships of trying to make it. He also talked about his call/meeting with Jonny Shipes from Cinematic Music Group and what he has planned for 2022 as well as possibly dropping another album before the new year. Stay tuned!

Thank you to San Antonio, TX's own K Shiday for coming on my show for an interview! K Shiday talked about her debut album Jukebox, her experience of serving 8 years in the military, and her time being signed to 1017 by Gucci Mane. She got into why she decided to go independent, the negatives of social media, and wanting to get into acting. She discussed writing some short films about her military experience and the idea of a woman soldier being a POW and pitching them to directors. She revealed that she is recently recovering from Covid-19 and that she is doing well now. K Shiday announced that she has some visuals for songs off of Jukebox dropping soon as well as some singles releasing in early 2022. Stay tuned!

We talked about Zach Wilson regressing since the beginning of the season, the rookie coaching staff that the NY Jets have, and the defense being a disappointment this year. Ira discussed the Jets losing 10 games or more in 22 years of their franchise history, the coaching staff changes that may take place this offseason, and the pressure now being on the GM Joe Douglas, who is 5-24 with this team since being their GM. He also voiced his opinion on Robert Saleh, rolling with Zach Wilson, and when will this team finally pull it together and show progress.

Shoutout to Orlando's own LPB Poody for coming on my show for an interview! LPB Poody talked about his new album I'm The One, Batman going viral on TikTok, and Lil Wayne being featured on the Batman Remix. He mentioned that Lil Wayne has recently reached out to him in regards to working again on another record. He discussed working with Rick Ross on Best Of Me, not being able to mumble rap, and signing with Tytework to Interscope Records. He got into being on house arrest the year Covid started, getting shot two times in one incident in the same year, and Young Dolph as well as the competitiveness of Hip-Hop. Shoutout to Lil Bizzy for coming on my show for an interview! Lil Bizzy talked about what he has learned from his father Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, his independent label Elev8, and why he doesn't want to sign to a major yet. He got into the disconnect between today's rappers and rappers of the 90s as well as rap today promoting too much violence and negativity, which may be why there are so many rappers getting killed today. He discussed his love for video games, wanting to set an example, and always staying positive. He also got into his experience of being at the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony tours over the years and what he told his father on the phone backstage after the fight broke out at the Verzuz. Lil Bizzy announced that Son of Uh Legend 2 will be dropping next year as well as some more music with his group and a project with his brother YBL Sinatra and father Bizzy Bone. Stay tuned!
