Big thank you to the Hip-Hop legend and N.W.A.'s own DJ Yella for calling into my show for an interview! Yella discussed his brand new book "Straight Outta Compton: My Untold Story", starting out in a group with Dr. Dre called World Class Wreckin' Cru, and how N.W.A. formed. He talked about his most memorable stories and moments with Eazy-E. He got into the Straight Outta Compton movie and that it was 70% truthful. He gave his thoughts on how Neil Brown Jr. played his character to a tee. He also talked about being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and how he feels about the rock stars who criticize rappers who are in the hall of fame. Yella got into being the only N.W.A. member at Eazy-E's funeral and the day Eazy was buried he decided that he was done making music. He also told the story of meeting Bone Thugs-N-Harmony for the first time and spoke about his music production that he is most proud of out of all of his work. Thank you DJ Yella for all that you did for Hip-Hop and giving us timeless records with N.W.A., a top 5 Hip-Hop album of all time in Straight Outta Compton, and your production on Eazy-E's solo albums.
