DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to the Bronx's own and one of the nicest emcees Mysonne for coming on my show for an interview! Mysonne talked about his newest album with Trae tha Truth called If You're Scared Stay Inside, his reaction to President Joe Biden passing the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, and his thoughts on the backlash Will Smith is getting from the incident at the Oscars. He discussed when he learned that the history schools are teaching are white washed, having conversations with white police officers about the message he is trying to send with his movement, and getting arrested when protesting Brett Kavanaugh getting sworn into the U.S. Supreme Court at the Capitol. Mysonne got into being wrongfully convicted of armed robbery, 7 years of his life being taken away from him, and this happening when his career was supposed to take off while being signed to Def Jam. He spoke about meeting a lot of people in jail who were wrongfully convicted, creating United Soldiers Entertainment, and working with the Credit Concepts Agency. He also got into his children's book I Know My Rights: Bill of Rights, his upcoming book, and his Street Politicians podcast with Tamika Mallory. He finished the show talking about battling Shyne, Jermaine Dupri wanting to sign him, and being an A&R on Mase's album Double Up. Mysonne announced that he is working on a new album. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Detroit's own Baby Money for coming on my show for an interview! Baby Money discussed his new album Easy Money, signing to Quality Control Music, and how he could have played pro basketball. He talked about his brother putting him onto Smack DVD Battle Raps, the rhymes that he wrote down from those battle raps, and finding out that his dad was a rapper. He got into knowing Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg, and Tay B growing up. He also talked about performing for the Detroit Pistons' G-League team, being called an old-soul, and why he felt as though Detroit artists were blackballed. Shoutout to Richmond, Virginia's own Fly Anakin for coming on my show for an interview! Fly Anakin talked about his new album Frank, why he considers this album to be his debut, and the music scene in Richmond, Virginia. He discussed his uncle introducing him to The Notorious B.I.G. and Scarface. He spoke about his uncle hearing his music in jail. He got into meeting Henny L.O. in middle school and designing the Mutant Academy logo. He also talked about why Ghostface Killah is the best member of the Wu-Tang Clan, wanting to change his name Fly Anakin, and possibly getting into acting as well as doing voiceover work. Thank you to one of the most talented up and coming singers and songwriters Poe Leos for coming on my show for an interview! Poe talked about her early life of being born in Mexico, moving to outside of Illinois, and growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah. She got into making life changing connections with Christopher Bush and AntLive as well as her bond with Public Enemy's Flavor Flav. She gave her reaction to what it meant to her for Flavor Flav to invite her on his talk show and having her do a live performance. Poe discussed her publishing/songwriting deal with Sync, being nominated for a NAACP Image Award for her song Look at Me on HBO's show Insecure, and her process of writing for so many different genres of music. She also talked about her new single 241, her performance at SXSW, and her upcoming EP. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to OLUFEMI for coming on my show for his first interview! OLUFEMI talked about his early life of being born in Brazil and growing up in the UK, music always being his main interest, and his time in Los Angeles. He got into his new song Hey Brother, wanting to inspire people who are at their low points when they hear Hey Brother, and his upcoming project Bring Tyre. His main goals are to establish his online social media presence then start doing shows as well as being consistent with his music releases.

Big thank you to the Bronx, NY and Atlanta's own Headkrack for coming on my show for an interview! Headkrack talked about his early life of growing up in the Bronx, the start of his Hip-Hop career at his school Christ The King's talent show, and wanting to be an A&R before pivoting into the radio industry. He discussed getting into the radio industry, starting out at 98.7 The Beat in Dallas, being apart of Dish Nation, and meeting Da Brat for the first time. Headkrack got into his thoughts on Hip-Hop now, DJ Kool Herc taking him and his wife around clubs in New York City, and being invited to Tyrese's house while Rev. Run of Run-DMC was there. He gave his opinion on cancel culture and reinventing yourself in the entertainment industry. He also got into boxing being his current passion as well as his upcoming boxing match. Headkrack also talked about his upcoming Mikrodose EP, his Education Course Series, and his love of Horror movies. Thank you to Unghetto Mathieu for coming on my show for an interview! Unghetto Mathieu talked about his new album Happy Trap, wanting to be taken seriously as a Hip-Hop artist, and signing his deal with Epic Records. He discussed what may have happened differently if his Epic Records deal didn't happen so quickly, his name stemming from Childish Gambino, and getting connected with Lil Yachty to collaborate on their song 23. He got into his exclusive story about being inside the World Trade Center at midnight on 9/11 before the attacks took place. Unghetto Mathieu revealed his most important investment that he has made so far throughout his career and mentioned that he wants to get into the fashion industry. Thank you to Charlotte, North Carolina's own Jalen Santoy for coming on my show for an interview! Jalen talked about his new album Without Hesitation, his relationship with Reuben Vincent, and J. Cole giving him important advice. He got into meeting Kanye West at Sunday Service and the Jeen-Yuhs documentary inspiring him. He discussed playing soccer at NC State, how he could have gone pro, and the times that he has thought that he should have stuck to the path of playing soccer. We also spoke about his message on Pain of going to college and being left in debt after you graduate without a job. Jalen also got into meeting Ghazi Shami from Empire at a car show, his journey of moving and navigating through Los Angeles, and wanting to surpass his most known song Foreplay. Thank you and shoutout to Norwalk, Connecticut's own Chris Webby for coming on my show for an interview! Chris talked about his new album Still Wednesday, We Up being DMX's last feature, and being a landmark for the CT Hip-Hop scene. He got into his early life with his mother being an English teacher and his father being a guitarist, getting kicked out of Hofstra University, discovering Hip-Hop when The Slim Shady LP released, and his life coming full circle when he was judge for Freestyle Fridays on 106 & Park. He talked about being the first rapper to crash Datpiff, in which he did it twice and opening up for the Wu-Tang Clan in 2010 in New York. Chris spoke about his album Chemically Imbalanced being his only true album in his view, his time being signed to Entertainment One, and now having his own label EightyHD. He also got into his Raw Thoughts record, meeting Pete Davidson for the first time, and Pete Davidson rapping on Who Am I with him off of his album 28 Wednesdays later. Chris Webby announced that he has Wednesday Before Last and Last Wednesday on the way as well as a big feature. He also mentioned that he will be performing at a major venue in Colorado soon. Thank you to 2x Grammy Award, Academy Award, Golden Globes Award, and Soul Train Award winning artist, actor, and songwriter Rhymefest for coming on my show for an interview! Rhymefest talked about the obstacles that he faced trying to prove himself early on in the industry, signing to Mark Ronson, and his 2006 Blue Collar album. He got into his friendship with Kanye West, working on Donda 2, and why he doesn't want to watch the Jeen-Yuhs documentary yet. He discussed why he decided to run for alderman in the 20th ward in Chicago and the most important thing that he achieved in his life being that he got his father initiated in his family after being homeless for 30 years and not knowing who he was growing up. He also got into how his In My Father's House documentary landed him his first movie role as Big George in Emilio Estevez's The Public and working with Michael K Williams. He spoke about his conversations with Marilyn Manson and The Game as well as when he met Eminem for the first time at JumpOff and ScribbleJam battle raps.
