DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to the legendary Kool Rock-Ski of The Fat Boys/The Disco 3 and City the Great for coming on my show for an interview! Kool Rock-Ski discussed how being apart of something so iconic is a blur to him, meeting Prince Markie Dee and Buff, and how they entered into the Coca-Cola WBLS contest that would change their lives. He talked about working with Kurtis Blow on the first two Fat Boys albums, Russell Simmons not wanting to expand their role in Krush Groove, and their encounter with Michael Jackson at the Grammy Awards. He told stories about Prince, Mike Tyson, and collaborating with Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger on their song Are You Ready For Freddy. He also spoke about Jermaine Dupri and Diddy planning on doing a Fat Boys reunion album before Buff passed away, losing Mark, and working with City the Great. City the Great got into Certified National Entertainment, his upcoming project The Syllabus, and being mentored by Special Ed. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Hollywood royalty Sara Karloff for coming on my show for an interview! Sara discussed when her father, Boris Karloff, received the phrase Master of Horror, his journey from England to the United States as a starving actor, and getting his big break in the classic horror film Frankenstein. She talked about her father being a founder of the Screen Actors Guild, him getting injured during the filming of Frankenstein, and when people finally recognized him as a movie star. She got into Boris winning a Grammy Award for voicing and narrating the 1966 Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas film, Vincent Price carrying her on the set of The Raven, and the competition between her father and Bela Lugosi being media hype. Sara also got into her upcoming show, being a fan of Young Frankenstein, and why she thinks the Oscars won't honor actors of the horror genre.

Thank you to Theresa Tilly for coming on my show for an interview! Theresa talked about her early life of growing up in Detroit, working at a radio station, and starting out doing commercials. She discussed how she got the role as Shelly in Sam Raimi's classic The Evil Dead, behind the scenes stories on set, and tools disappearing from the cabin. Theresa got into it taking 20 years for her to accept the film/knowing that it became a masterpiece, reuniting with Sam Raimi on Oz the Great and Powerful, and being the first woman to announce at ESPN's ESPY Awards. Mak talked about this year's Halloween props at Spirit Halloween, what he expects from The Exorcist: Believer, and his thoughts on the first episode of Chucky Season 3. Thank you to East Lansing, Michigan's own Taylor Nichols for coming on my show for an interview! Taylor discussed his role as Jerry in 1BR, the actor's strike affecting a lot of people in Los Angeles, and when he thinks the strike will end. He talked about getting his start in acting in high school, moving to Los Angeles in 1992 to work with James Garner, and his first big role as Charlie Black in Whit Stillman's film Metropolitan. He got into reflecting on his career during the strike, wanting to film his own feature film, and working with Bruce Campbell. He also spoke about meeting Giannis Antetokounmpo while filming Rise, playing basketball with Magic Johnson, and his upcoming plans once the strike ends. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Alexandria, Louisiana's own Muse Watson for coming on my show for an interview! Muse talked about getting his start in theater at Berea College, Something to Talk About being his first major film credit, and playing the role of the iconic horror film slasher Ben Willis aka The Fisherman in I Know What You Did Last Summer. He got into forming a friendship with both Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt on set, and doing some of the stunts on the boat scene at the end of the film. He discussed reprising his role of The Fisherman in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, working with Jack Black, and Brandy being afraid to meet him. Muse spoke about his role of Mike Franks on NCIS and why it was a mistake killing his character off the show. He also got into spreading awareness about Autism and writing a foreword to a book for parents and teachers called Stars in Her Eyes, Navigating the Maze of Childhood Autism by: Linda Barboa and Elizabeth Obrey. TA Thomas discussed his new album Caught Between 2 Worlds, wanting to showcase the southern soul to the mainstream, and the pain of losing his mother during the year of the pandemic. He talked about the message of his song Pros and Cons, not feeling the pressure of becoming a solo artist, and Next Town Down always being a collective instead of a group. Thank you to Detroit’s own/Hip-Hop legend Esham for coming on my show for an interview! Esham discussed his new album Purgatory, how the album is a true reflection of who he is as a person today, and why he opened the album up with Active Shooter. He talked about being independent because no one would give him a major label deal, regretting not speaking up against those who labeled him as a satanist, and the character that he made up of himself for his album Tongues. He got into being stopped on stage during a Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff performance, the rumors of 2Pac riding around playing his album Judgement Day, and being the first Hip-Hop artist to ever release a double album. Esham also spoke about being the innovator of acid rap, moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to look for Prince before he passed away, and getting an associates degree in culinary arts. Stay tuned!
