DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to West Philly's own DJ Aktive for coming on my show for an interview! DJ Aktive talked about growing up in West Philly, meeting Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff for the first time, and receiving his first set of turntables. He discussed interning at Power 99 FM, getting his start of touring with Musiq Soulchild, and becoming Janet Jackson's tour DJ. He got into auditioning in Puff Daddy's living room to be the Bad Boy Reunion tour DJ, Kanye getting strict with him for his scratches on the 808s & Heartbreak Tour, and Nas calling him out in the middle of a performance because he didn't know the words to one of the songs on Stillmatic. He also talked about him and Nas discussing a song together for Aktive's upcoming album Chill Vibes Vol. 1, his 2019 debut album The Tour, and DJing for NBC's That's My Jam with Jimmy Fallon. DJ Aktive mentioned that he wants to open up The Philadelphia DJ school to help the youth learn how to DJ and to teach them the history of Hip-Hop. Big thank you to the Bronx's own and one of the nicest emcees Mysonne for coming on my show for an interview! Mysonne talked about his newest album with Trae tha Truth called If You're Scared Stay Inside, his reaction to President Joe Biden passing the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, and his thoughts on the backlash Will Smith is getting from the incident at the Oscars. He discussed when he learned that the history schools are teaching are white washed, having conversations with white police officers about the message he is trying to send with his movement, and getting arrested when protesting Brett Kavanaugh getting sworn into the U.S. Supreme Court at the Capitol. Mysonne got into being wrongfully convicted of armed robbery, 7 years of his life being taken away from him, and this happening when his career was supposed to take off while being signed to Def Jam. He spoke about meeting a lot of people in jail who were wrongfully convicted, creating United Soldiers Entertainment, and working with the Credit Concepts Agency. He also got into his children's book I Know My Rights: Bill of Rights, his upcoming book, and his Street Politicians podcast with Tamika Mallory. He finished the show talking about battling Shyne, Jermaine Dupri wanting to sign him, and being an A&R on Mase's album Double Up. Mysonne announced that he is working on a new album. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to the legendary BET Award and Juno Award winner, and Grammy nominee Director X for coming on my show for an interview! Director X discussed originally wanting to create comic books, starting out as a graphic designer, and interning under music video mogul Hype Williams. He talked about being a visual consultant and story board writer on Belly for Hype Williams and what makes that opening scene timeless to this day. He got into the important pep talk that Hype gave him when he failed on a video for Tracey Lee's The Theme (It's Party Time) remix and what he read to master his directing craft. He spoke about the video that he discovered his directing style, establishing his relationship with Drake, and the most creative artists that he has collaborated with. Director X also talked about his Operation Prefrontal Cortex and the importance of raising awareness of gun violence in Toronto, Canada. Director X announced that he is currently working on a Robyn Hood TV series and more. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to the Bronx, NY and Atlanta's own Headkrack for coming on my show for an interview! Headkrack talked about his early life of growing up in the Bronx, the start of his Hip-Hop career at his school Christ The King's talent show, and wanting to be an A&R before pivoting into the radio industry. He discussed getting into the radio industry, starting out at 98.7 The Beat in Dallas, being apart of Dish Nation, and meeting Da Brat for the first time. Headkrack got into his thoughts on Hip-Hop now, DJ Kool Herc taking him and his wife around clubs in New York City, and being invited to Tyrese's house while Rev. Run of Run-DMC was there. He gave his opinion on cancel culture and reinventing yourself in the entertainment industry. He also got into boxing being his current passion as well as his upcoming boxing match. Headkrack also talked about his upcoming Mikrodose EP, his Education Course Series, and his love of Horror movies. Thank you and shoutout to Norwalk, Connecticut's own Chris Webby for coming on my show for an interview! Chris talked about his new album Still Wednesday, We Up being DMX's last feature, and being a landmark for the CT Hip-Hop scene. He got into his early life with his mother being an English teacher and his father being a guitarist, getting kicked out of Hofstra University, discovering Hip-Hop when The Slim Shady LP released, and his life coming full circle when he was judge for Freestyle Fridays on 106 & Park. He talked about being the first rapper to crash Datpiff, in which he did it twice and opening up for the Wu-Tang Clan in 2010 in New York. Chris spoke about his album Chemically Imbalanced being his only true album in his view, his time being signed to Entertainment One, and now having his own label EightyHD. He also got into his Raw Thoughts record, meeting Pete Davidson for the first time, and Pete Davidson rapping on Who Am I with him off of his album 28 Wednesdays later. Chris Webby announced that he has Wednesday Before Last and Last Wednesday on the way as well as a big feature. He also mentioned that he will be performing at a major venue in Colorado soon. Thank you to 2x Grammy Award, Academy Award, Golden Globes Award, and Soul Train Award winning artist, actor, and songwriter Rhymefest for coming on my show for an interview! Rhymefest talked about the obstacles that he faced trying to prove himself early on in the industry, signing to Mark Ronson, and his 2006 Blue Collar album. He got into his friendship with Kanye West, working on Donda 2, and why he doesn't want to watch the Jeen-Yuhs documentary yet. He discussed why he decided to run for alderman in the 20th ward in Chicago and the most important thing that he achieved in his life being that he got his father initiated in his family after being homeless for 30 years and not knowing who he was growing up. He also got into how his In My Father's House documentary landed him his first movie role as Big George in Emilio Estevez's The Public and working with Michael K Williams. He spoke about his conversations with Marilyn Manson and The Game as well as when he met Eminem for the first time at JumpOff and ScribbleJam battle raps. Big thank you to Las Vegas' own Dizzy Wright for coming on my show for an interview! Dizzy talked about his early life transition from being born in Flint, MI then moving to Las Vegas, being homeless, and his mother getting him into the music industry at a young age, starting with his group DaFuture. He got into his experience with Just For Kids youth media and interviewing Nate Dogg before he died. He discussed what Layzie Bone told him early on in his career, turning down a Def Jam single deal after winning their competition, and why he is grateful for his time being signed with Funk Volume. He also got into being on tour with Logic, the Funk Volume distribution deal with Warner falling apart, and getting through tough times. He spoke about his reaction to when he heard Floyd Mayweather playing his song Floyd Money Mayweather, being on 106 & Park, and how his clothing store Still Movin is going. Dizzy announced that he has new music on the way, including a new single with DJ Hoppa called Promoter featuring Man Like Devin and B-Real. He also announced that he will be going on tour very soon. Huge thank you to the Hip-Hop icon Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of Run-DMC for coming on my show for an interview! DMC talked about his new children's book Darryl's Dream, how Run-DMC formed, and his experience of going to catholic private school. He discussed his time attending St. John's University for business management, when the conversations started happening between Run-DMC and Aerosmith to create their hit song Walk This Way, and their My Adidas performance at Madison Square Garden landing them their endorsement deal with Adidas. He got into MC Hammer dissing Run-DMC and being apart of 3rd Bass' The Gas Face music video. He also talked about Biggie Smalls wanting to meet him, putting his lyrics on My Downfall off of Life After Death, and how Puff Daddy & Suge Knight should have resolved their beef. DMC also got into his period of depression, overcoming it, and finding out that he was adopted. DMC announced that he has new music on the way and 2 new songs out now, including Ghetto Metal. Thank you and shoutout to Morrisville PA's own Asher Roth for coming on my show for an interview! Asher discussed his new album The Greenhouse Effect, Vol. 3, his upcoming EP with Heather Grey, and the positive enlightenment of his new song All Add Up. He got into the importance of B-Sides on Hip-Hop records, originally pursuing an Elementary Education major at West Chester University, and being managed by Scooter Braun. He talked about his hit song I Love College and his thoughts on it over the years. He also discussed about what made him become so positive and change his mind frame to promote positivity in his music. He also got into his songs that he made with The Game, the Peter Roth project with Pete Rock that was supposed to happen years ago, and his song Last Man Standing featuring Akon making Madden 12. Asher reflected on his Hip-Hop career so far and revealed that he wants to start signing artists to his own label as his next goal. Stay tuned for Asher's upcoming EP with Heather Grey dropping soon!

Jim Jones talked about his upcoming album Gangsta Grillz dropping this Friday January 14th, Big Pun taking him to strip clubs, and Dipset. He got into the positives of being loyal to a fault in this industry, having conversations with Michael Strahan about doing the We Fly High Ballin' dance at New York Giants games, and the importance of artists being vocal about politics and what is going on in society in their music. He confirmed that he has more work with RSONIST of The Heatmakerz on the way, which he wants to be El Capo 2. He also discussed his upcoming Hitmaker album, Nas liking a record that he sent him, and a possible Diplomats movie.
