DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to 4x Emmy Award winning host Alan Hahn for coming on my show for an interview! Alan discussed his thoughts on the Nets signing Paul Millsap & LaMarcus Aldridge, the Knicks' offseason moves, and Quentin Grimes, Miles McBride, & Obi Toppin's summer league performances. He talked about Zach Wilson and believes that he has gotten more hype than Sam Darnold. He went over his time as a basketball player in college at LIU Post, writing for the school newspaper The Pioneer, the hardships that he faced getting into the industry, and his time at Newsday. He got into how he landed his job covering the Knicks' pre and post games on MSG Network as well as his shows on ESPN Radio on 98.7 FM. He also talked about how he got his nickname Han Solo and listed both his top rappers & Hip-Hop albums of all time. Thank you to Ira From Staten Island for calling into my show! Ira talked about the NY Jets and Zach Wilson's pre-season performance, the crushing injuries that this defense has endured during camp, and his thoughts on the weakened defense now. He gave his week 1 and 2 predictions for the 2021-2022 NFL season, where the Jets will play the Panthers in week 1 and have the home opener in week 2 against the Patriots. He also talked about the Zach Wilson vs. Sam Darnold storyline and advises people wait two years to conclude who is the better quarterback.

Thank you and shoutout to DJ EFN for coming on my show for an interview! DJ EFN discussed his start in DJing, DJing on the University of Miami's WVUM, and the Miami Hip-Hop scene back in the day. He got into meeting Noreaga for the first time, their first show together called "Millitainment Crazy Raw Radio" that aired on Sirius XM, and how Drink Champs came together. He went through his favorite interviews on Drink Champs and the most shocking thing that he heard on the show thus far. DJ EFN confirmed that Drake has been scheduled to come on Drink Champs for awhile despite the picture that Noreaga posted on his Instagram with Drake recently. We got into the passing of DMX and his Drink Champs interview. We also talked about DJ EFN's new mixtape Miami's Mixtape King as well as the legendary Hip-Hop and producers that he has collaborated with over the years.

Big thank you to the 6x Grammy nominated R&B singer BJ the Chicago Kid for coming on my show for an interview! BJ discussed his new 4am EP, being independent, his friendship with fellow collaborator Eric Bellinger, and starting in the choir at a young age. At 19, he moved to Los Angeles, in which his first job was being a backup singer for the R&B duo Mary Mary. This led him to meeting and working with major artists such as: Mary J. Blige, Joe, and Mario. He talked about 2005 being an important year for his career when he was in the booth with Stevie Wonder and performed on stage with both James Brown & Usher at the Grammy Awards. He got into working with Kanye West on the song "Impossible" off of the Mission Impossible 3 Soundtrack and working with Dr. Dre in the studio for the song It's All On Me off of Compton. He reflected on being apart of ScHoolboy Q's hit song Studio and receiving a Grammy nomination for it. He announced that he is currently mixing and mastering his next album. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to the South Bronx's own Dyce Payso for coming on my show for an interview! Dyce Payso talked about his upcoming project Rich Off Pain that is dropping on September 24th, connecting with Jim Jones, and his Byrd Gang deal with e-One Entertainment. He discussed putting his record label BossBred together and that he is close to signing a deal for this label with Empire soon. He got into why he turned down 16 major record deals, what the right deal is to make in the industry, and the importance of giving back to the youth. Dyce Payso confirmed that he has a song for the streets with Dave East and Benny the Butcher on the deluxe version of Rich Off Pain. He is dropping a song tributing Big Pun called Playa No More on all platforms tonight. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Sacramento and Los Angeles' own Allyn for coming on my show for an interview! Allyn discussed her new project called Overthinking, earning a degree in Music Industry Studies at Cal State Northridge, and currently attending USC. She talked about her experience of interning at Harvey Mason Media, getting the opportunity to do a song with Casey Veggies, and how Mozzy contacted her on Instagram after he heard Allyn name drop him on the number one radio station in Sacramento to collaborate on a song together. She announced that she will be signing a record deal very soon in Los Angeles and is currently working on a live version of her Overthinking project that will incorporate jazz elements as well as the instruments that she can play, including piano, drums, and the violin. Thank you to Atlanta and Decatur, Georgia's own GRIP for coming on my show for an interview! GRIP talked about his early life, the story behind the music video for his new song Gutter, and signing with Eminem to Shady Records. He got into what Eminem said to him that makes him so different from everyone else in Hip-Hop right now. He discussed his earliest projects including: Porch, Snubnose, and Halo EP. Snubnose is an important project as it discusses the struggles that black people go through in America as well as police brutality. GRIP revealed that his first love in entertainment was film and just announced his acting debut for a short film produced by Common. He mentioned that he wants to get into behind the camera work for films in the future. He also got into his appreciation for Nirvana and the 90's grunge music. GRIP announced that he will be dropping his Shady Records debut album this month! Stay tuned!

Shoutout to one of Harlem's finest emcees Dub Aura for coming on my show for an interview! Dub Aura discussed his early beginnings in rap, studying Jay-Z's Vol. 3 Life and Times of S. Carter, and his experience of meeting with SONY Records at a young age. He got into the stories behind his collaborations with Dave East, Fetty Wap, Jim Jones, Capone from Capone-N-Noreaga, as well as working with producers such as RSONIST of The HeatMakerz and Araab Muzik. He mentioned that he has multiple tracks with Dave East and that they may do a collaboration tape together. He also has multiple records with Jim Jones that will be releasing as well. He talked about his interest in fashion and the possibility of starting his own fashion line as well as what his favorite sneakers are to wear. He also got into his Knicks fandom and Carmelo Anthony being his favorite player of all time besides Kobe Bryant. Dub Aura is planning on dropping his second album this November or even sooner that will feature major artists. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Grammy nominated R&B singer and songwriter Rico Love for coming on my show for an interview! Rico Love discussed why Hip-Hop is the most important genre in music, why rappers receive the most criticism for having writers unlike singers, and writing poems at an early age as well as reciting Langston Hughes at the African American Children's Theater. He got into his experience in college at Florida A&M University, never losing a rap battle, meeting Jagged Edge, and connecting with The Corna Boyz, which eventually led him to getting signed by Usher. His first placement in the music industry was Usher's Throwback off of his classic album Confessions. We talked about his numerous amount of writing and production work, writing for his mentor Diddy, and having his own songwriting classes. He spoke about his hit song They Don't Know and knew that was going to be the song to put him on the map as an R&B singer. He also discussed creating his own label Division 1, his We Love Music Conference, being elected Vice Chair of the Grammys, and today's artists not caring/knowing about the legendary artists that came before them. Rico is currently working on a book that will be releasing soon that will focus on the ins and outs of the music business & songwriting. He is also starting to put together his next album, which may be Even Kings Die 2 as well as some scripts for movies and TV shows. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Vallejo, CA's own Yhung T.O. for coming on my show for an interview! Yhung T.O. discussed his new album On My Momma 3: Angels & Demons, why he chose the On My Momma's to be a trilogy in his discography, and paying homage to Nelly's Luven Me on his song Ineffable. He talked about the impact that 2Pac and Nelly had on Hip-Hop. He gave his view point on the current sound of Hip-Hop in relation to the viral T-Pain video with certain rappers trying to sound like other rappers. He stressed the importance of looking up to the greats and using Nipsey Hussle as an inspiration to stay true to yourself and wanting to see everyone win. He also talked about the most important conversation that he had with a Hip-Hop legend besides Nipsey Hussle that included both E-40 and Snoop Dogg. He closed out the show reflecting on his memorable Coachella performance, recording Paramedic! for the Black Panther soundtrack, the upcoming performances that he has in the near future, and his upcoming project with Lil Sheik.
