DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to Toronto, Canada's own Charmaine for coming on my show for an interview! Charmaine discussed her new Hood Avant-Garde EP, being signed to Warner Music Canada, and her performance at the Manifesto 15 Music Festival in Toronto, Canada. We got into her life story of being born in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, moving to the U.S., and then relocating to Toronto at a young age. She talked about her father being laid off, losing their home, and writing her first song while living with her family in a small motel room. She got into the positives of pursuing a music career in Toronto, what she admires most about her dream collaborator Missy Elliott, and believing in the power of manifestation. She announced that she will be releasing her Hood Avant-Garde 2 EP next year and much more. Stay tuned!

Thank you to emerging R&B singer Nefertitti Avani for coming on my show for an interview! Nefertitti discussed Snoop Dogg breaking the news that she is going to be signed with Def Jam Records, making Alright & Make It Last on Snoop Dogg's newest album Algorithm, and being discovered by R&B legend Teddy Riley. She revealed that she has a documentary style album about her life story on the way, including songs with Teddy Riley and Missy Elliott. She got into making her song Take It Back with Fat Joe and the conversations that she has had with him. She has wrote for many artists in the industry, including: Keith Sweat, DJ Battlecat, and Jelly Roll. Nefertitti also talked about wanting to write a movie script about the Law of Attraction, her dream of singing in a Disney movie, and her goal of winning a Grammy Award. Shoutout to Toronto, Canada's own NF Portion for coming on my show for an interview! NF Portion discussed signing a major label deal with Warner Music in Canada, his new album I Am Nothing Without, and his song WAVE getting played at Raptors & Lakers games. He got into building relationships with artists and executives in Los Angeles, being his own manager, and his goal of wanting to perform at a Rolling Loud by the end of 2022. NF Portion announced that he will be dropping a I Am Nothing Without (Deluxe) at the top of next year, 2022, and another project shortly after that. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Reading, PA's own and one of the nicest emcees right now Beanz for coming on my show for an interview! Beanz talked about her new album Tables Turn, when she first heard Benny the Butcher as well as creating As Seen on TV together, and how she writes down her goals to help manifest them into becoming a reality. She got into working 20 jobs before her rap career started to take off, how she kept following her dreams when working these jobs, and her experience on Netflix's Rhythm and Flow. She discussed working with Fred da Godson, being chosen out of 100 rappers by Joell Ortiz to participate in a cypher, and challenging herself to excel as well as the importance of lyricism in Hip-Hop. Beanz has a lot on the way including performances, visuals, and her own artwork that she started creating during the quarantine. She announced that she is already putting together her next project. Iamsu! discussed his new California (Deluxe), his most memorable moments with The HBK Gang, and the conversations that he had with 50 Cent on the phone. He discussed what the studio session for Function with E-40 was like, producing Casey Veggies' Back Flip, and his upcoming work with Lil Jon. He got into starting his own label Eyes On Me LLC, overcoming his hit song Up!, and the death of Young Dolph as well as his friendship with the late great Chinx. Amaal discussed her new Milly EP, changing her message in the new EP, and being nominated for a Juno Award for her Black Dove EP. She talked about hanging out with OVO Sound's Smiley in Los Angeles, how her father pushed her to follow her dreams, and emigrating from Somalia to Toronto in the 1990's. She also got into the meaning of her name, Drake knocking down the door for Toronto artists, and the most difficult hurdle that she faced pursuing this music career in the Toronto music scene.

Big thank you to the creator/host James A. Janisse of the #1 Horror platform on YouTube, Dead Meat, for coming on my show for an interview! James discussed his early life of growing up outside of Detroit, Michigan, building his platform Dead Meat that became a business/company, and his introduction to the Horror genre as a viewer. He talked about hosting his own Q&A theater filled with Dead Meat fans for Halloween Kills, in which David Gordon Green showed up. He gave a rave review on the new Chucky series that airs on SyFy and USA Network every Tuesday night at 10pm est. He gave his reaction to recording one of his latest episodes in the house that the first Scream was filmed in as well as his thoughts on the upcoming Scream movie releasing in theaters this January. James also talked about his top Horror sequels, how the younger audiences may view the old classic Horror movies today, and wanting to become a producer for Horror movies. Shoutout to North Philly's own up and coming artist Lil Bape for coming on my show for an interview! Lil Bape discussed his newest project Zipped Up In My Tears, his video shoot for Heaven Sent, and putting together his team while staying independent. He got into about his experience of talking to some labels and one that may offer him the best opportunities. He talked about his goal for 2022, playing JV basketball in high school, and the artists that he wants to collaborate with. Big thank you to the founder of The Source magazine and The Source Awards Dave Mays for coming on my show for an interview! Dave discussed his introduction to Hip-Hop, his college radio show Go-Go Dave at Harvard, and creating The Source. He got into how he picked talent for the unsigned hype section of The Source. The Source's unsigned hype section included: The Notorious B.I.G., Common, Mobb Deep, and DMX. He talked about the 1995 Source Awards, the New York Hip-Hop fans booing Outkast, and bringing the Source Awards to Miami. Dave shared his view on Hip-Hop's message today, Nas finally winning a Grammy, and wanting to create an award show that shows appreciation towards the real Hip-Hop artists. He recently created his own platform called Breakbeat Media. He has The Dave Mays Show and Trap & Anonymous podcast as well as a 10 part series covering the life story of Larry Hoover coming soon.
