DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to the comedy legend TK Kirkland for coming on my show for an interview! TK Kirkland talked about opening up for acts such as: Patti LaBelle, N.W.A., DMX, The Whispers, MC Hammer, and Tone Loc. He discussed when he found his rapport on stage as a comedian, getting banned from the N.W.A. tour, and plans of him and Eazy-E starting Ruthless Comedy before Eazy-E passed away. He got into being selected for a scared straight program when he was younger, starting out doing skits in college at Arizona State, and raising money for Maxine Waters. He also talked about performing for 50 Cent and Eminem on MTV, Jay-Z performing at his birthday in Harlem in 1995 before Reasonable Doubt released, and working with Vin Diesel in the 1997 movie Strays. He closed out the show giving his reaction to and thoughts on the Will Smith Oscars incident as well as what he has coming up in the near future. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Dorchester and Chelsea, Massachusetts' own Kam Geez for coming on my show for an interview. Kam talked about his early life of growing up in Chelsea, Massachusetts, his first passion of playing basketball, and his beginner days of writing rhymes on his Nokia flip phone. He got into his love for acting and getting an A in his theater class when he was in high school. He also discussed his upcoming debut album Charge It To The Game that will be dropping soon. Kam announced that his new single Nothing Like It will be dropping on April 18th. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Arizona's own up and coming emcee Murkemz for coming on my show for an interview! Murkemz discussed growing up in Woodside in Queens, NY, moving to Arizona, and the Arizona Hip-Hop scene growing. He talked about his influences including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Big L, taking DMX's It's Dark and Hell Is Hot and Eminem's The Slim Shady LP from his mother, and the bars that he wrote down that sparked his Hip-Hop career. He got into what it meant for him to freestyle on Funk Flex, Ice T inviting him as a guest to his 10th anniversary of The Art of Rap, and Layzie Bone offering to mentor him. He also talked about Diamond D reaching out to him on Instagram to get him on The Diam Piece 3, his song Moonwalk Through Customs getting played in the 2019 The Shaft movie with Samuel L. Jackson, and getting connected with Ras Kass for their song Farewell. Murkemz announced that he will be dropping a new album before the summer as well as new freestyles. Stay tuned!

Thank you to 2x Grammy Award winner, Hip-Hop legend, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's own Flesh-N-Bone for coming on my show for an interview! Flesh-N-Bone discussed his new album To the Bone, the strong message in his new song Dedication, and his political views (not mine). He talked about going out to California, Eazy-E signing Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Eazy-E taking the group out to The Tunnel in New York City to meet with Ice Cube to discuss a N.W.A. reunion. He got into the aftermath of Eazy-E's death, his lyrics being removed from Bone Thugs' songs, and opening up about going against all odds in his upcoming memoir. Flesh spoke about Mo Thugs, putting together a new collaboration album for Mo Thugs, and the recording session with Fat Joe and Big Pun for his song No Mercy on his debut album T.H.U.G.S. (Trues Humbly United Gatherin' Souls). He also got into his collaboration with Rev. Run of Run-DMC on his song World So Cruel, his unfortunate prison sentence, and his new comedy sketch TV show called Fun Howse. Thank you to West Philly's own DJ Aktive for coming on my show for an interview! DJ Aktive talked about growing up in West Philly, meeting Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff for the first time, and receiving his first set of turntables. He discussed interning at Power 99 FM, getting his start of touring with Musiq Soulchild, and becoming Janet Jackson's tour DJ. He got into auditioning in Puff Daddy's living room to be the Bad Boy Reunion tour DJ, Kanye getting strict with him for his scratches on the 808s & Heartbreak Tour, and Nas calling him out in the middle of a performance because he didn't know the words to one of the songs on Stillmatic. He also talked about him and Nas discussing a song together for Aktive's upcoming album Chill Vibes Vol. 1, his 2019 debut album The Tour, and DJing for NBC's That's My Jam with Jimmy Fallon. DJ Aktive mentioned that he wants to open up The Philadelphia DJ school to help the youth learn how to DJ and to teach them the history of Hip-Hop. Big thank you to the Bronx's own and one of the nicest emcees Mysonne for coming on my show for an interview! Mysonne talked about his newest album with Trae tha Truth called If You're Scared Stay Inside, his reaction to President Joe Biden passing the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, and his thoughts on the backlash Will Smith is getting from the incident at the Oscars. He discussed when he learned that the history schools are teaching are white washed, having conversations with white police officers about the message he is trying to send with his movement, and getting arrested when protesting Brett Kavanaugh getting sworn into the U.S. Supreme Court at the Capitol. Mysonne got into being wrongfully convicted of armed robbery, 7 years of his life being taken away from him, and this happening when his career was supposed to take off while being signed to Def Jam. He spoke about meeting a lot of people in jail who were wrongfully convicted, creating United Soldiers Entertainment, and working with the Credit Concepts Agency. He also got into his children's book I Know My Rights: Bill of Rights, his upcoming book, and his Street Politicians podcast with Tamika Mallory. He finished the show talking about battling Shyne, Jermaine Dupri wanting to sign him, and being an A&R on Mase's album Double Up. Mysonne announced that he is working on a new album. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Detroit's own Baby Money for coming on my show for an interview! Baby Money discussed his new album Easy Money, signing to Quality Control Music, and how he could have played pro basketball. He talked about his brother putting him onto Smack DVD Battle Raps, the rhymes that he wrote down from those battle raps, and finding out that his dad was a rapper. He got into knowing Babyface Ray, 42 Dugg, and Tay B growing up. He also talked about performing for the Detroit Pistons' G-League team, being called an old-soul, and why he felt as though Detroit artists were blackballed. Big thank you to the legendary BET Award and Juno Award winner, and Grammy nominee Director X for coming on my show for an interview! Director X discussed originally wanting to create comic books, starting out as a graphic designer, and interning under music video mogul Hype Williams. He talked about being a visual consultant and story board writer on Belly for Hype Williams and what makes that opening scene timeless to this day. He got into the important pep talk that Hype gave him when he failed on a video for Tracey Lee's The Theme (It's Party Time) remix and what he read to master his directing craft. He spoke about the video that he discovered his directing style, establishing his relationship with Drake, and the most creative artists that he has collaborated with. Director X also talked about his Operation Prefrontal Cortex and the importance of raising awareness of gun violence in Toronto, Canada. Director X announced that he is currently working on a Robyn Hood TV series and more. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Richmond, Virginia's own Fly Anakin for coming on my show for an interview! Fly Anakin talked about his new album Frank, why he considers this album to be his debut, and the music scene in Richmond, Virginia. He discussed his uncle introducing him to The Notorious B.I.G. and Scarface. He spoke about his uncle hearing his music in jail. He got into meeting Henny L.O. in middle school and designing the Mutant Academy logo. He also talked about why Ghostface Killah is the best member of the Wu-Tang Clan, wanting to change his name Fly Anakin, and possibly getting into acting as well as doing voiceover work.
