DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to Memphis’ own Fresco Trey for coming on my show for an interview! We opened the show discussing the tragic mass elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas yesterday and that this country needs strict gun control laws. Fresco discussed his new project Heartbreak Diaries, signing to Warner Records, and working with Vory. He talked about his father being his manager, having a close relationship with Penny Hardaway, and Post Malone taking him on tour in Los Angeles. He got into being from Memphis and the D1 colleges that offered him scholarships to play basketball. He also talked about being a songwriter for different artists, including writing for Meek Mill’s Expensive Pain. He also got into why he resonated with part 1 of the Jeen-Yuhs Kanye West documentary, meeting Mike Boyd & Gary Vee, and his upcoming single that he plans to release in the next week or two. Big thank you to Source Award and NAACP Image Award winning, film directing, producing, and screenwriting duo Coodie & Chike for coming on my show for an interview! Coodie & Chike discussed the success and reception of their Jeen-Yuhs Kanye West Netflix documentary. They got into earning Kanye's trust in order to release this documentary, starting to document his story when Hoop Dreams released, and putting his Through the Wire music video together. Coodie talked about attending Northern Illinois University for one semester, getting into media business through his sister Tonia, and creating Channel Zero in Chicago. Chike talked about majoring in motion graphics at Savannah College of Art and Design, wanting to make music videos from the beginning, and meeting both Kanye & Coodie while he was working for MTV. They spoke about creating their own production company Creative Control, creating the ESPN 30 for 30 Benji documentary, and putting together Stephon Marbury's documentary A Kid From Coney Island. Coodie & Chike also spoke about Donda West, their friendship with Kanye, and their next documentary covering the legendary painter Ernie Barnes. Thank you to Toronto, Canada's own Patrik Kabongo for coming on my show for an interview! Patrik talked about his new single Limelight that is dropping this Monday, using this song to shed light on Black identity for males in the music industry, and how this song will impact his artistry to come. He got into being the CEO of and creating his own label X10 Entertainment. He spoke about the artist from Canada that inspired him and the artists that he wants to collaborate with. He also got into his music getting played during the 2020 NBA playoffs and getting his distribution deal with Coalition Music and Warner Music Canada. Patrik mentioned that his upcoming album Endless Summer will be an exposition of who he is and a musical of his thoughts and experiences. Shoutout to Ghanaian-American R&B singer Lesléy for coming on my show for an interview! Lesléy talked about growing up in Ghana, moving to Seattle, Washington, and when his journey as a singer began. He got into changing his name Kevin Pfeifer to Lesléy this year, the obstacles that he has faced thus far trying to break through the industry with his music, and his newest Good Things Take Time EP. Shoutout to Jacksonville, Texas' next up and coming artist Cico P for coming on my show for an interview! Cico P talked about his new mixtape NawfJaxx, his single Tampa reaching #97 on the Top 100 Billboard charts, and the important advice that Kevin Gates has given him. He discussed putting his own entertainment label Dawgties Entertainment together and explained why it is important for all artists to put their own label/team together to understand the business side of music. He also got into playing football at a young age and how he started making music on the I Am T-Pain app when he was 13 years old. Cico has some more NawfJaxx visuals coming soon. He will be performing at Los Angeles' Rolling Loud and will be dropping a new mixtape in October. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Chicago and Joilet, Illinois' own RealYungG for coming on my show for an interview! RealYungG talked about his father booking his first studio session, moving from Chicago to Joilet, and making connections with major artists such as Gunna, Lil Durk, and Lil Baby before they signed their major label deals at small venue shows. He got into his new albums Mixed Emotions 4 and Your Rappers Favorite Rapper. He discussed what he learned from his time in college before dropping out and applying what he learned while majoring in Communications to his brand. He also got into building his own label YGN Ent, his thoughts on the YSL artists being charged with violating the R.I.C.O. Act, and his Legacy Begins documentary series that he plans on continuing on his YouTube channel. Stay tuned for Mixed Emotions 5 and his upcoming visuals that are dropping soon!

Thank you to super producer, 2015 Global Spin Award winner, and 1/2 of The Cool Kids Chuck Inglish for coming on my show for an interview! Chuck discussed his/The Cool Kids’ new albums BABY OIL STAIRCASE / CHILLOUT and BEFORE SHIT GOT WEIRD. He talked about his love of sneakers, his early life of growing up in Detroit, and wanting to play football at Michigan. He got into wanting to be an actor, auditioning for Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton, and acting in Widows with Viola Davis and Liam Neeson. He also talked about The Cool Kids breaking up because the industry was sucking the fun out of the collaboration, getting back together with Sir Michael Rocks, and if fame is overrated. He also got into his relationship with the late great Mac Miller, social media being the focal point of the music industry right now, and that prominent artists work regular jobs behind the scenes. Chuck announced that The Cool Kids have a new album called Hi-Top Fade and a movie in the works. Stay tuned!

He got into finding out when Sway Calloway grew up on his block, moving to New York City, and his friendship with Lil Baby.
