DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to Compton, California and Atlanta's own Bambi aka The Bam for coming on my show for an interview! Bambi talked about her introduction to Hip-Hop, minoring in theater, and becoming an extra on the hit TV show Ugly Betty. She discussed meeting Lil Scrappy in ATL, why she kind of regrets doing Love & Hip Hop, and the difficulty of cameras filming what is going on in her personal life. She also got into what we can expect from her upcoming EP, her thoughts on reality TV shows before and after being apart of them, and her Shimmer Life clothing line.

Big thank you to Brooklyn, New York's own Maino for coming on my show for an interview! Maino discussed the new Lobby Boyz album, his I slap box the devil at night reference on the Lobby Boyz Anthem, and when he formed a brotherhood with Jim Jones to create their duo. He talked about the personal stories he told on the song Project Baby off of The Lobby Boyz album, how DJ Kay Slay helped him early on in his career, and Cormega putting him on Monsters Ball, in which that was the first album he was ever featured on. He got into his time with Universal Records, Tone from Trackmasters helping him get signed, and the story with Birdman being the reason why he left Atlantic Records. Maino spoke about portraying the shooter who shot 2Pac in the All Eyes On Me movie at Quad Studios, writing a show with his late friend Michael K Williams before he passed, and being the first NYC artist to work with Nipsey Hussle. Big thank you to Miami, Florida's own Zoey Dollaz for coming on my show for an interview! Zoey talked about the significance of the title of his new Thank You For Doubting Me EP, signing a bad deal early on in his career, and his experience freestyling for Funk Flex. He discussed being inspired by New York Hip-Hop artists such as: Jay-Z, Lloyd Banks, Big L, AZ, and 50 Cent, his first interest being R&B, and working with Chris Brown on their hit song Post & Delete. He got into Jim Jones serving as his mentor, being kicked out of high school and going back to get his diploma for his mom, and how being shot a few years ago changed his outlook on life. He spoke about meeting Jay-Z twice, Allen Iverson being a fan of his music, and how he was talking to XXXTENTACION on the phone 15 minutes before he was tragically killed. Zoey also got into how he considered giving up around the time of his album Last Year Being Humble, signing with Future and L.A. Reid, and remembering the late great DJ KaySlay. Big thank you to Hip-Hop and R&B royalty CJ Wallace for coming on my show for an interview! CJ discussed carrying on his father, The Notorious B.I.G.'s legacy, portraying his father in his childhood in the 2009 Notorious biopic, and being interested in becoming a film director. He talked about today's Hip-Hop scene, Benny the Butcher adding 10 More Commandments to his father's classic song Ten Crack Commandments, and not letting people pressure him into following in his father's footsteps to mainly be a Hip-Hop artist. He spoke about 2Pac and gave his thoughts on the unfortunate beef between him and his father, in which he thinks it was the people they were surrounded by that escalated the tension. CJ also got into his THINK BIG movement that is fighting for the legalization of cannabis, police and criminal justice reform, and economic reinvestment into the communities that are harmed cannabis prohibition. Shoutout to Orlando, Florida's own Trappa Tray for coming on my show for an interview! Trappa Tray talked about launching his own label Trappa Gang Entertainment, his upcoming EP with Flood Da Block distributed by A&E, and his upcoming album Salute 2 the Streets, Vol. 3. He discussed being kicked out of his house by his mother when he was younger, struggling in Orlando, and the time when he felt like quitting and then found out being an artist was his calling. He also got into the importance of getting a blue check in the bank account instead of getting one on Instagram and how to tell who is a loyal person in the industry. Big thank you to NBA legend and author Muggsy Bogues for coming on my show for an interview! Muggsy talked about his new book Muggsy: My Life from a Kid in the Projects to The Godfather Of Small Ball, getting his first basketball at the age of 3, and the rec center in Baltimore being the beginning of his basketball career. He discussed being shot at 5 years old and how that changed his mindset for when he was bullied for being short. He got into being apart of the greatest high school basketball team of all time with The Dunbar Poets from 1981 to 1983, setting ACC records at Wake Forest University, and winning a gold medal for the USA national team in the 1986 FIBA World Championship. Muggsy spoke about being drafted 12th overall in the 1987 draft to the Washington Bullets, his friendship with the late great Manute Bol, and his time with the Charlotte Hornets. He also talked about guarding Michael Jordan, being traded to the Warriors as well as seeing Latrell Sprewell choke coach P.J. Carlesimo, and being a leader for both Vince Carter & Tracy McGrady when he went to the Toronto Raptors. Muggsy gave his thoughts on the current state of the Hornets, LaMelo Ball, and if he would accept a head coaching job in the NBA.
If you are a huge NBA fan, I highly recommend you go and read Muggsy's new book. You will not put it down once you start reading it. He is a true inspiration.

Lex talked about networking outside of Connecticut to make a name for himself, why Irv Gotti is a main influence to him, and his upcoming EP Back to Business. Shoutout to Rouyn-Noranda, Northwestern Quebec's own Zach Zoya for coming on my show for an interview! Zach discussed his upcoming No Love Is Ever Wasted EP, getting his start with 7ième Ciel, and signing with Universal Music Canada. He talked about the Black Lives Matter movement changing his perspective and seeing life through a different lens, being from a white town. He got into playing hockey and giving it up for a music career. Zach spoke about his Spectrum EP, displaying his range musically and emotionally on that project, and what his idea of happiness is when making it. He also spoke about Drake's struggle to make it despite having a Lil Wayne co-sign, having a record in the vault with Nate Husser, and possibly continuing his DAYZZ OFF series. Shoutout to Los Angeles' own Trilly for coming on my show for an interview! Trilly discussed his new single All Booty, working with Davido on their collaboration 1942, and putting together his own label Trillion Dollar Records. He talked about growing up with LJ who worked at Capitol Records and how a studio session in 2019 became the start of his career in Hip-Hop. He got into LA stamping artists once someone else stamps them first, doing toy drives, and the importance of him giving back. He also got into working with Julius Darrington and why A&R's play an important role in an artist's career. He mentioned that he has more singles on the way and eventually a mixtape. Stay tuned!

Shoutout to Brooklyn, New York's own Willy Flee for coming on my show for an interview! Willy Flee discussed his early life of growing up in New York, playing basketball in high school, and receiving college invitations for their basketball teams. He talked about starting out with the name Pretty Boy J, why he changed his name to Willy Flee, and making the move to Florida. He got into opening for Juicy J, Travis Scott, Future, and Cardi B.
