DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to Kevin Harlan for calling into my show for an interview! Kevin talked about the start of his broadcasting career in high school, attending the University of Kansas, and what it meant to his father for him to call Super Bowl 45, in which the Packers defeated the Steelers 31-25. We got into some of his calls including one where JR Smith, while he was on the Knicks, ran past LeBron James and dunked in MSG vs. the Miami Heat in the 2012 playoffs. He also gave some important advice to those who are in college that want to do play-by-play for a career.

Big thank you to Chris Russo (Mad Dog) for coming on my show for an interview! Chris gave his expectations for his San Francisco Giants this season and mentioned who he believes to be the greatest Giant of all time is. He talked about going to Rollins College, staring out at WKIS, and working his way up to WFAN. He told the story of meeting Mike Francesa for the first time and their show (Mike and the Mad Dog) being the number 1 show in radio for 19 years. He also got into his transition to satellite radio and running his own Channel 82 Mad Dog Unleashed on Sirius XM.

Thank you to the New York Jets legend Marty Lyons for calling into my show for an interview! Big thank you to Leon Thomas III for coming on my show for an interview! Leon discussed the upcoming music that he is working on, the 10 year anniversary of Victorious, and what it's like working with Drake. He talked about meeting Babyface for the first time, winning his first grammy at the age of 21 for Love, Marriage? & Divorce, and his time on Broadway for The Lion King & The Color Purple. We got into his first Ep Genesis, his gift as a songwriter, including his work with artists such as Ariana Grande. He also shared a story about the legendary singer-songwriter & producer Teddy Riley. Huge thank you to the Godfather and greatest basketball coach in St. John's University's history Lou Carnesecca for calling into my show for an interview! Coach Lou talked about his time coaching St. John's Mens basketball, the first time he saw St. John's play, and his thoughts on the team currently under Mike Anderson. He talked about coaching Malik Sealy and Chris Mullin. He got into his professional coaching years with the New York Nets in the ABA. He also told the story of getting his famous sweater that he wore throughout his coaching career at St. John's.
This was an amazing honor and career milestone for me to get the opportunity to interview Coach Lou Carnesecca. Thank you Coach Lou for all you have done for St. John's!

We opened the show talking about the Brooklyn Nets success this season so far, the Jets' QB situation, and the Knicks surprisingly exciting the NBA this season. Ian discussed his experience at Syracuse University and their college radio station WAER. He talked about his experience of working for Mike Tirico, Mike and the Mad Dog, and WFAN. He told stories of getting in the door at WFAN, doing play-by-play for the Jets & Nets, and eventually covering the Nets broadcasts for the YES Network. He has voiced the Nets games for 27 years. We also got into his most memorable calls and so much more!

Shoutout to Sy Ari Da Kid for coming on my show for an interview! We discussed his brand new project It's Not You, It's Me. Sy Ari Da Kid talked about the personal things he tells in his music, networking when he moved to Atlanta, and DJs/hosts at NY Hip-Hop radio stations not bringing that real New York back. We got into his tribute song to Sade "For Sade" that was a flip to Cherish The Day. He also got into his time at Cash Money as well as his relationships with Money Man and Birdman. Sy Ari will be dropping three more projects this year including an East Coast sounding rap album. Stay tuned.
