I want to thank Bobby J From Rockaway for coming on my show today on WSJU Radio at St. John's University! He represents the real Hip-Hop and has bars for days. He discussed growing up and being exposed to all types of music by his family members. His brother was the one who got him into Hip-Hop. Artists such as Biggie Smalls, Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, and Big Pun were his gateway drugs for becoming an emcee. Hip-Hop legend Kwame' took Bobby J under his wing at an early age and he has helped him with his music throughout his career. He told a few J. Cole stories and was best friends with Bas in high school. He has many fire songs out now on all music platforms including: Let Me Breathe, Walter White, The Return, and Hometown. Be on the lookout because he will be releasing a fire project very soon!

I want to thank the legend Diamond D of D.I.T.C. for coming on the show today on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. It was an honor. We discussed his new masterpiece album that just dropped on May 10th called The Diam Piece 2. It is available on all music platforms. My favorites off of this album are Got It Covered, Turn It Up, Omg, Bodied, Survive or Die, Chivas Blanc, and Maintaining. We talked about the new age of Hip-Hop vs. the old age of Hip-Hop. He talked about producing and sampling his music as well as producing for other legends in the industry. Be on the lookout, especially locally, because Diamond D will be doing some upcoming events in New York regarding the new album. To all the youth as well as my peers, it is important and I encourage you to go do your research on the pioneers and learn where Hip-Hop came from!

I want to thank my brother and the Bronx's own Beenofficial for coming on my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max last night on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. He talked about writing his first rap song as well as his favorite artist who inspired him and that is Kool G Rap. He gave his view on Hip-Hop today and believes that lyrical rap will make a comeback, which I believe as well because everything happens in cycles. He has a lot of bangers out on all music platforms that he has recently released including: Downpour, Forever NewSchool, Ay Now, No Shorts, and UKTV. Some of his raps remind me of Onyx member Sticky Fingaz. He also spit a fire freestyle over Rick Ross' Crocodile Python! If you are a true Hip-Hop head who appreciates the lyrics, I highly recommend you check Beenofficial out because he represents the real Hip-Hop! Keep grinding my bro, I believe big things will happen for you!

You can hear their emotions in their music, especially in the 13 minute freestyle they performed on this show! That was one of the greatest freestyles and rhyming I've heard on my show! They have music out now and plan to release a lot of new content this summer, so be on the lookout for these lyrical prodigies!

I want to thank Hip-Hop legend Rampage for calling into my show last night on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. He mentioned many rappers who influenced him including Special Ed and Chubb Rock. Growing up in Flatbush Brooklyn, NY he lived around many of these rappers. Busta Rhymes is his first cousin and they are in the same group known as the Flipmode Squad. He talked about signing his first deal and being on the greatest Hip-Hop remix of all time, which is Craig Mack's Flava In Ya Ear Remix. He discussed his friendships with Craig Mack and The Notorious B.I.G. aka Biggie Smalls. He has another song with Craig Mack that they recently had recorded before Craig Mack sadly, passed away. We talked about his classic first album Scout's Honor... by Way of Blood and the hit song off of the album Wild for da Night. One of the greatest parts about this interview was that Rampage was freestyling at times! He started the hashtag/term for Hip-Hop today and that is mumble rap. He has kept it real from day one and tells it like it is. He made his music the way he wanted to and I have always loved the grittiness in his music. He has a lot going on: he is going to be in an upcoming movie, he is creating a cartoon, he has his own headphone brand, he has his own sports and Hip-Hop show on NBC, and he is a DJ. Be on the lookout because he has a vault of tracks recorded and he will be dropping a new album soon called When Hell Freezes Over! Thanks again Rampage for calling into my show last night, I had a great time!
