I want to thank my guy Bobby J for coming back on my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University last night. We discussed his banger debut album Summer Classics that released this summer. It features a variety of artists including: Kwame, Killah Priest, Lil Fame from M.O.P., Michael Fiya, and Vivian Green. Lak and guest caller Hip-Hop legend Capone discuss upcoming Ep on "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max"

Shoutout to Lak for coming on my show Sports and Hip-Hop last night on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. Lak discussed becoming a rapper at an early age and hearing the reactions from others about his songs being played on a Philadelphia radio station. He explained why he chose the route of educating through lyrics and being the CEO of his own company known as Smart Hip Hop Global. His two albums Lesson 1: Hip-Hop & Education and Lesson 2: Hip-Hop & Education are available on all music platforms. He mentioned that two documentaries and a book will be on the way in the near future. I also want to thank Hip-Hop legend Capone for calling into the show to talk about his upcoming Ep with Lak that will release in early 2020. They have a song together called Redemption on Lesson 2: Hip-Hop & Education. Lak and Capone also gave their opinions on the state of Hip-Hop today. Lak spit two fire freestyles on the show over Big Daddy Kane's Mortal Combat and KRS One's A Friend. He also listed his professional sports teams that he is a fan of.

New York Jets' Strong Safety Rontez Miles on "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University

I want to thank Rontez Miles for calling into my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University. He talked about growing up in Braddock, Pennsylvania, his love of football at an early age, his time at California University of Pennsylvania, and signing with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent. He talked about what he learned from Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles, and now what he has learned from the current defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. Rontez also told me what the NFL helmets are currently like and being a defensive player in this era of football. His main goal this season is to help the New York Jets end their playoff drought. He is also a Hip-Hop artist that goes by the name of Teddy P. He has a few singles out on all platforms now including F**k Em and Lucky. He has his own record label called BH the label. One artist he has on his label is Banga Cyss, who released a new project recently called The Vibe. The Vibe is available on all platforms as well. We could definitely be hearing a Teddy P, Le'veon Bell, and Josh Bellamy Hip-Hop track in the future! Freaky Kah and Loww have been friends and making music together for a long time. They told me what they have learned from Mr. Cheeks over the years, while in the studio. I want to thank Bobby J From Rockaway for coming on my show today on WSJU Radio at St. John's University! He represents the real Hip-Hop and has bars for days. He discussed growing up and being exposed to all types of music by his family members. His brother was the one who got him into Hip-Hop. Artists such as Biggie Smalls, Nas, Jay-Z, DMX, and Big Pun were his gateway drugs for becoming an emcee. Hip-Hop legend Kwame' took Bobby J under his wing at an early age and he has helped him with his music throughout his career. He told a few J. Cole stories and was best friends with Bas in high school. He has many fire songs out now on all music platforms including: Let Me Breathe, Walter White, The Return, and Hometown. Mark Calderon from Color Me Badd on "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University

I want to thank Mark Calderon from the RnB group Color Me Badd for calling into my show "Sports and Hip Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University! We discussed when and how the group formed as well as how they got their name. They auditioned for Kool & The Gang and it all started from there, in which they were signed to Giant Records. We discussed their albums and hit songs including I Wanna Sex You Up, which was also in the classic movie New Jack City as well its soundtrack. They won two Soul Train Music Awards and an American Music Award. Mark talked about touring around the world and meeting his idols while on the tours.
