DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to Multi-Platinum BadBoy/Hitmen producer Amadeus for coming on my show for an interview! Amadeus talked about which record plaque of his means the most to him, his first placement being with Foxy Brown for her song My Life on the Cradle 2 the Grave soundtrack, and how he became the music director & tour drummer for Trey Songz. He got into his beginnings of producing as well including when he first starting playing the drums and legendary D.I.T.C. producer Buckwild serving as a mentor for him. He told the story of J.Lo calling him for the record that they made together called Same Girl off of her album A.K.A. He also discussed the work that he has done for VH1, BET, and ESPN including producing the two theme songs for First Take & the sounds during NFL games as well as NBA highlights. He currently has his own company/label Platinum Boy Music and has produced for over 100 major artists in the game. He has a lot of more work on the way stay tuned!

Big thank you to James Jude Courtney for coming on my show for an interview! James Jude Courtney discussed majoring in broadcasting journalism in college at the University of South Carolina, getting into acting, and becoming a stuntman. He told me about the first time he saw John Carpenter's 1978 masterpiece Halloween and the first Horror movies he was introduced to as a viewer. He talked about getting the role of Michael Myers in the 2018 Halloween as well as the upcoming Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. He informed me that Halloween Kills is a powerful film and it is the 2018 Halloween on steroids! Halloween Kills is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 15th, 2021. Something interesting that he told me was that he worked with Tupac Shakur on a video as well as N.W.A.!

Big thank you goes out to Adrienne King for coming on my show for an interview! Adrienne King talked about her early life of growing up in New York, attending Fashion Institute of Technology, getting her famous lead role as Alice Hardy in the 1980 classic Friday the 13th, and what it was like working with Betsy Palmer aka Pamela Voorhees in Friday the 13th! Huge thank you to the horror icon Kane Hodder for coming on my show for an interview! Kane talks about how he got the role of the iconic hockey mask slasher Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th series. He is considered to be the true and best actor to play Jason Voorhees as he portrayed the character in parts 7,8,9, and 10. He is the only actor to portray Jason more than once as well! Kane described the scene where he is playing Jason in Times Square in Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan! We talked about his famous interview where he is dressed up as Jason and being interviewed by Arsenio Hall on The Arsenio Hall Show. He would definitely want to play Jason again if there was to be another film. He discussed playing the character Victor Crowley in the Hatchet franchise and reprising Jason in Friday The 13th The Game!

I want to thank David Naughton for calling into my show this past week. David talked about what it was like growing up in Hartford, CT. He led the 80s Dr. Pepper commercials and their Be a Pepper campaign. He told his experience of what it was like acting in theater, television, and film. David talked about disco hit Makin It. He then discussed his hit role of David Kessler in John Landis' 1981 masterpiece An American Werewolf in London. He had a great time working with the legendary make-up/special effects artist Rick Baker on the scary face and werewolf transformation scenes. I want to thank the legendary Tony Todd for calling into my show. Tony is most famous for his role as Candyman. He was also in Platoon, Night of the Living Dead 1990, the Final Destination films, and countless other movies, television and broadway shows. He talked about growing up in Connecticut, becoming an actor, and the films that he has been in! He discussed the bee scenes in the Candyman films. I would like to thank Horror Icon Doug Bradley, who played Pinhead in the Hellraiser films, for calling into my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" on WSJU Radio at St. John's University this past Monday night! Doug talked about what it was like growing up in Liverpool, England, meeting Clive Barker in High School, and working with Clive on the masterpiece film Hellraiser. Doug discussed his most memorable moments playing Pinhead, including his favorite lines from the films. He described what pleasure and pain in the films meant and that everyone has their own interpretations of what those words mean to them. He talked about the makeup process for the film and that it took an average of 4-5 hours to put on. I want to thank actor and stuntman Don Shanks, who played Michael Myers in Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, for calling into my show "Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max" this past week! Don talked about becoming an actor/stuntman, his audition for Halloween 5, and playing the iconic horror movie slasher Michael Myers. He discussed what it was like working with Donald Pleasance and Danielle Harris. He described some scenes they shot for the film that did not make the final cut including the Dr. Death and murder of the SWAT team scenes.
