DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to St. Louis, MO's own Eric Nenninger for coming on my show for an interview! Eric talked about attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, his first taste of the entertainment industry as Jared Chirp on The X-Files' Signs and Wonders episode, portraying Cadet Eric Hanson in Malcom in the Middle, and playing Scott Braddock in Jeepers Creepers 2. He told stories of being on set and his experience at the premiere of Jeepers Creepers 2. He got into his love for comedies and stage acting. Eric discussed being apart of CSI's first violent and gory episode, Captain Dave "Captain America" McGraw being the role that he is most proud of throughout his career, and his monologue scene leading Don Draper to retire in Mad Men. Eric also gave advice on how to deal with depression as an actor, what he thinks he needed to master in the craft of acting to become an acting coach, and gave a preview of the upcoming season 2 of HBO's Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, in which he plays Keith Erickson who was the color commentator for the Lakers during the Showtime Lakers era.

Thank you to Oklahoma City's own Jabee for coming on my show for an interview! Jabee talked about his new AM EP, Havoc producing one of his upcoming projects, and being an activist in America. He discussed how police escalate situations, people such as Candace Owens and Hershel Walker hurting the voice of the people, and being arrested around the time of Trayvon Martin murder for wearing a hoodie in an Oklahoma mall. He got into opening up his own pizza restaurant in his neighborhood, wanting to bring Nipsey Hussle down to Oklahoma before he passed away, and being a part owner of the Tower Theatre. Jabee also spoke about record labels dumbing down Hip-Hop today, teaching Hip-Hop Studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music, KD bringing him out to perform for an NBA All Star charity game at halftime while he was still playing with the Thunder in 2011 during the NBA lockout, and winning two Emmy Awards. Thank you to Boston, Massachusetts' own Erica Pinkett for coming on my show for an interview! Erica talked about reprising her role as Tina in Secret Society 2 Never Enough, the obstacles that she faced trying to make it in the industry, and manifesting being in 2Pac's biopic All Eyez on Me, in which she portrayed Briana based on Ayanna Jackson who falsely accused 2Pac of rape. She discussed meeting Winsome Sinclair who casted 2Pac in the 1992 classic film Juice and 10 months later receiving a call from her with the opportunity to audition for All Eyez on Me. She got into working with Demetrius Shipp Jr., the unfortunate backlash that the biopic faced, and how to avoid being typecast in reality TV. Erica also talked about the Black History that is not being highlighted in Boston, her book & script that she is working on, and her upcoming projects that she has on the way. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Richmond, VA's Chad Coleman for coming on my show for an interview! Chad talked about playing Dennis Wise aka Cutty on The Wire, The Wire turning 20 years old this year, and his time on set with Method Man. He discussed being a foster kid and giving back to foster kids today. He got into his time in the army, filming the first music video for the army, and doing PSA's with the Celtics, Jets, & Giants. He spoke about his first role as an actor as a stand-in on The Cosby Show, playing Z on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and his role as Tyreese in The Walking Dead. He also got into his fight scene with Andrew Lincoln, precautions that should be taken with working with firearms on set, and his memories of Michael K Williams. Chad also talked about voicing Coach in the Left 4 Dead 2 video game, his Humble Hollywood Podcast, his upcoming work, and wanting to do a new/different interpretation of The Elephant Man. Big thank you to Brooklyn, New York’s own Kota the Friend for coming on my show for an interview! Kota talked about his new album MEMO, why it is his last album for awhile, and his upcoming Flight Night (NYC) shows at Sony Hall. He discussed the importance of his song Father’s Day, how each generation of father’s should be better than the last, and attending the Brooklyn High School of the Arts as well as going to Five Towns College for Trumpet. He got into starting out finding his style on Jay-Z In My Lifetime instrumentals, outselling headliners in Los Angeles, and when he understood his self-worth, in which he wanted to stay independent. Kota also talked about his Free Not Woke Podcast, Johnny Depp winning his case against Amber Heard bringing closure to what he faced in the past on social media, and what he has learned from going to therapy.

Thank you to Atlanta, Georgia's own DJ Scream for coming on my show for an interview! DJ Scream talked about getting his start as a DJ, going on tour with Montell Jordan and building Hoodrich Entertainment & Hoodrich Radio. He discussed signing a label deal with Rick Ross and what Ross taught him about the business side of music as well as attending Tuskegee, where he majored in engineering. He got into his hit mixtapes, Shawty Lo introducing him to Rocko, in which he met Future at the very beginning of his career. DJ Scream also spoke about his hit show Big Facts getting picked up by REVOLT TV, expanding the show to Big Facts Friday, and his definition of making it in the music/entertainment industry.

Shoutout to the underground comedy legend TK Kirkland for coming back on my show for an interview! TK talked about the recent mass shootings that have been occurring, why the news should stop reporting the shootings, and that AR-15's need to be banned. He discussed Al Hammond putting him on tour with acts such as: Keith Sweat, Teena Marie, and Bobby Brown and how those opportunities opened up the door for him to meet Eazy-E to open up for N.W.A. He got into there needing to be more security at comedy clubs following the incident that occurred with the person that rushed the stage when Dave Chappelle was performing. TK spoke about wanting to write a memoir, Faizon Love helping him from catching a charge, and managing Sandra Bullock with Artists You Management back in the day. Stay tuned!

Thank you to 2x Grammy Nominated R&B Singer and Songwriter Eric Roberson for coming on my show for an interview! Eric talked about his new album Lessons, his new book Lessons: 100 Thoughts on Life & Love, and when he started to believe that God was teaching him lessons at certain points of his life. He discussed his experience at Howard University's musical theater program, his deal with Warner Records and Island Records falling through, and how going back to college changed him as a person/artist. He got into being independent for 21 years with his own label B.L.U.E. ERRO SOUL, being on tour with El DeBarge, and paying homage to Kenny Greene on his song All I Want off of his new album Lessons. He also talked about teaching at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, the importance of picking up the pen on his worst days, and the two new books that he is currently working on. Big thank you to Brooklyn, New York's own Maino for coming on my show for an interview! Maino discussed the new Lobby Boyz album, his I slap box the devil at night reference on the Lobby Boyz Anthem, and when he formed a brotherhood with Jim Jones to create their duo. He talked about the personal stories he told on the song Project Baby off of The Lobby Boyz album, how DJ Kay Slay helped him early on in his career, and Cormega putting him on Monsters Ball, in which that was the first album he was ever featured on. He got into his time with Universal Records, Tone from Trackmasters helping him get signed, and the story with Birdman being the reason why he left Atlantic Records. Maino spoke about portraying the shooter who shot 2Pac in the All Eyes On Me movie at Quad Studios, writing a show with his late friend Michael K Williams before he passed, and being the first NYC artist to work with Nipsey Hussle.
