DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

I want to thank Shawn Stockman for calling into my show last night. He is very personable and tells it like it is. He gave his opinion of the current generation of RnB artists out now as well as the Grammys. He gave backstories on most of the Boyz II Men albums including their first album Cooleyhighharmony, in which he said that every song on that album are their demos. The story behind their 1997 masterpiece album Evolution is heartbreaking, in which race started to play an issue with the direction of the group, in which they thought they might be finished with music. However, they would go on to make more great albums such as Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, Full Circle, Throwback, Vol. 1, Collide, Love, and as well as their most recent Under The Streetlight. This year is the 25th anniversary of their sensational 1994 album "II", in which the Boyz II Men logo came into effect and would forever leave an imprint on music. They are going on tour for their anniversary of "II", so be on the lookout because they may be heading to your city soon! We talked about how technology is changing our world. We discussed his newest Ep titled Shawn and he will be releasing his first solo album this May! It is possible that we could also get another Boyz II Men album as well. Shawn also has a radio show on Dash Radio called Boomerang Radio, in which I highly recommend everyone to go check it out. On his radio show he plays 90s music along with talented artists from today. Shawn's passion's are playing the guitar and performing for fans. God bless you and keep doing what makes you happy! Thank you for everything you have done for music and we all can't wait to see what you have coming next!

In this show, I interviewed Canadian Hip-Hop/Rap emcee and host of Hip-Hop Evolution Shad. We discussed his past music along with his newest album A Short Story About A War, which is available on all music platforms now! Shad also talked about winning the 2011 Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards beating fellow nominee Drake and talked about his favorite sports teams as well. He hosted CBC Radio’s Q and now hosts the Hip-Hop Evolution docuseries, whose 2016 season on HBO Canada earned both a Peabody Award and an International Emmy Award. This docuseries is also available on Netflix, in which I highly recommend Hip-Hop listeners to watch because it will give you insight on how it all started.
Uncle Phil and I broke down Super Bowl 53 and NFL news. We also discussed the recent Knicks trade and other NBA news.

Mic Geronimo was our special guest for our last show of the semester. He talked about his friendship with Biggie, hanging with Tupac, and what it was like to be a part of hip hop in the early days. He dropped a brand new exclusive release on the show. He freestyled, and even battled with Loko. It was an honor having him on the show and be on the lookout for some new music he may drop soon!
