DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to Grammy Award winning legendary producer and emcee Diamond D of D.I.T.C. for returning to Sports and Hip-Hop! Diamond D talked about his new album with Talib Kweli called Gotham, the story behind his Best Kept Secret music video with Anthony Mason, and his reaction to being named in Daz Dillinger's Top 5 producers of all time. He told the story of playing songs for The Notorious B.I.G. before he passed away. We got into Big Pun's first record with Fat Joe called Watch Out produced by Diamond D off of Fat Joe's Jealous Ones Envy. He discussed his most recent albums The Diam Piece and The Diam Piece 2, especially his Bela Lugosi reference on Jose Feliciano off of The Diam Piece. Diamond D also revealed that there will be a Gotham 2 with Talib Kweli and he also is working on his solo albums The Rear View & The Diam Piece 3. The Rear View should be releasing this fall or winter and will feature Dre from Cool & Dre and Westside Gunn. Stay tuned!

Thank you to Kazeem Famuyide aka RealLifeKaz for coming on my show for an interview! Kazeem talked about attending SUNY, coordinating performances at the University, interning at The Source, and eventually landing a job with them right out of college. He told his story of getting Drake a performance at SUNY right before he blew up musically during the So Far Gone Mixtape era. He spoke about his time at Hip Hop Wired and creating his own publication The Stashed that was released quarterly. He got into his time at the WWE, his Say Less w/ Kaz, Lowkey & Rosy Podcast, and his new MSG PM show on the MSG Network. We also discussed Knicks basketball and the team's success under Tom Thibodeau & Julius Randle.

Big thank you to Multi-Platinum BadBoy/Hitmen producer Amadeus for coming on my show for an interview! Amadeus talked about which record plaque of his means the most to him, his first placement being with Foxy Brown for her song My Life on the Cradle 2 the Grave soundtrack, and how he became the music director & tour drummer for Trey Songz. He got into his beginnings of producing as well including when he first starting playing the drums and legendary D.I.T.C. producer Buckwild serving as a mentor for him. He told the story of J.Lo calling him for the record that they made together called Same Girl off of her album A.K.A. He also discussed the work that he has done for VH1, BET, and ESPN including producing the two theme songs for First Take & the sounds during NFL games as well as NBA highlights. He currently has his own company/label Platinum Boy Music and has produced for over 100 major artists in the game. He has a lot of more work on the way stay tuned!

Big thank you to Craig Carton for coming on my show for an interview! Craig talked about his journey in college radio at Syracuse, getting a degree in broadcast journalism, and what the feeling was like to get back on the mic at WFAN. He got into his time as a DJ for pubs in Syracuse, his favorite Hip-Hop records that he loved to play/scratch at his gigs, and the Hip-Hop artists who are on his Mount Rushmore. We talked about the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft and if Zach Wilson will be the franchise quarterback that the NY Jets have been looking for since Namath. Unfortunately due to the zoom freezing, we were unable to finish the last question.

Big thank you to O.C. for coming on my show for an interview! O.C. talked about his introduction to Hip-Hop on his first record Fudge Pudge, MC Serch signing him to Wild Pitch Records, and being apart of the legendary group D.I.T.C. We discussed his classic record Time's Up, how it was originally meant for Pharoahe Monch, and the instrumental being used in 8 Mile for one of the battle rap scenes. He got into his stories about Nas not showing up to his session for Word...Life, the Beastie Boys almost signing him, and making songs such as Dignified Soldiers & Dangerous with Big L. We discussed his sophomore album Jewelz, the samples of INTRO on the album, and his collaborations with Bumpy Knuckles. Most importantly, we covered how he has progressed overtime in his music with his newer albums Same Moon Same Sun and A New Dawn. He mentions that he may come out with one more solo album. Big thank you to Charlie Heat for coming on my show for an interview! Charlie Heat discussed his brand new album VALENTINE'S SON, meeting Kanye West for the first time, and Kanye signing him to G.O.O.D. Beats. He got into his early beginnings as a producer and his dream of playing basketball as well as Allen Iverson being a huge inspiration to him. Charlie talked about working on The Life of Pablo and why vinyl records are still important to the culture of Hip-Hop, RnB, and producing. Big thank you to the legendary 28 time Emmy Award winning sportscaster Bob Costas for calling into my show for an interview! Bob Costas discussed his time at Syracuse's college radio station WAER, his journey at NBC Sports, and his most legendary calls. We got into his memorable and impactful eulogy at Mickey Mantle's funeral. We also talked about his most significant interviews and his thoughts on being referenced in Ludacris & Mac Dre songs. At the end of the interview, he gave important advice for sports announcers. Thank you to Bob Costas for all that he did for TV, radio, and sports broadcasting.

Big thank you and shoutout to the legend MC Serch for coming on my show for an interview! MC Serch talked about the start of his rap career, the beginnings of 3rd Bass, and the story behind the Sons of 3rd Bass (Beastie Boys Diss Song). Serch told a story about how him and MC Hammer could have squashed their beef as well as the story behind 3rd Bass' hit record Pop Goes The Weasel, the Vanilla Ice diss record. We discussed VH1 and Ego Trip's The White Rapper Show as well as Serch's new Serch Says Podcast. We also got into today's rap era and talked sports. Serch ended the show telling his only story about The Notorious B.I.G. and his stories with 2Pac.

Chris gave his expectations for his San Francisco Giants this season and mentioned who he believes to be the greatest Giant of all time is. He talked about going to Rollins College, staring out at WKIS, and working his way up to WFAN. He told the story of meeting Mike Francesa for the first time and their show (Mike and the Mad Dog) being the number 1 show in radio for 19 years. He also got into his transition to satellite radio and running his own Channel 82 Mad Dog Unleashed on Sirius XM.
