DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Thank you to 1/2 of Detroit's own Hip-Hop duo Twiztid Jamie Madrox for coming on my show for an interview! Jamie talked about the new Twiztid album Glyph, the sixth edition of Astronomicon that will be going down from March 3rd to March 5th at Burton Manor, Michigan, and the stories of how he and Paul Monoxide got together. He discussed why N.W.A.'s Straight Outta Compton may serve as a gateway into Hip-Hop for heavy metal and rock fans, stories about Eminem, and working with Three 6 Mafia on their song Where It's Goin' Down. He also got into working with DJ Quik and Tha Dogg Pound on Hurt Someone, Horrorcore going mainstream, being apart of To Hell and Back: The Kane Hodder Story, and his top five horror films of all time. Big thank you to 5x Grammy Award Winner and Atlanta's own CeeLo Green for coming on my show for an interview! CeeLo talked about Goodie Mob, Dungeon Family, his mother being a minister who owned a store in the mall that he was in during this interview. He discussed fighting for civil rights of Southern Hip-Hop, wanting to destroy establishment when he got into the music industry, and how his career became the complete opposite of anti-establishment. He got into his alias of Gnarls Barkley with Danger Mouse, his friendship with the late great Notorious B.I.G., and if he would do posthumously work with Biggie. CeeLo spoke about Mark Burnett watching his SNL performance leading to get his spot on The Voice, why he left the show, and the possibility of the original cast getting back together on The Voice. He closed out the show speaking about wanting to create a next-level lyrical Hip-Hop album, announcing his upcoming project with DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill, and wanting to pursue acting further. Thank you to Judith O’Dea who played Barbara in George A. Romero’s 1968 classic Night of the Living Dead for coming on my show for an interview! Judith talked about getting a call to audition for the role of Barbara less than a year after moving out to California from Pittsburgh, how her fear of Vincent Price in House of Wax 1953 prepared her for her performance in Night of the Living Dead, and the barriers that the film broke with casting the first black actor as the lead in a horror film, Duane Jones. She discussed how the time period that the film was shot in relates to the political tensions that are escalating today, learning a lot from George A. Romero on set, and getting worked up for her ad-lib scene where her character recalls what happened at the cemetery. She also got into the story of the prop of the corpse at the top of the stairs in the film, going to the premiere, and stories from being on set with the other cast members. Judith also spoke about her short story that she wants to see made into a film called The Old Woman and the Alien and Night of the Living Dead’s upcoming 55th anniversary next year.

Thank you to actor and stuntman C.J. Graham for coming on my show for an interview! C.J. Graham talked about his early life of growing up in Seattle, Washington, his time in the army, and getting the role as the iconic Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. He discussed how he never did a stunt or an acting gig before he played Jason, being the general manager and chief operating officer of a casino and resort in Los Angeles. He got into doing shows and photoshoots with Rock and Roll legend Alice Cooper, in which Alice Cooper did the songs for the Jason Lives soundtrack. C.J. spoke about his friendship with Kane Hodder, originally supposed to be reprising his role as Jason in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, and thoughts on Tom McLoughlin's script pitch for the 13th Friday the 13th film. He also talked about Sylvester Stallone and Prince coming into his resorts as well as becoming close friends with Lou Ferrigno.

Thank you to Betsy Baker for coming on my show for an interview! Betsy talked about her early life of growing up in Saint Joseph's Michigan, going to Michigan State University originally on a music scholarship, and switching over into theater. She discussed getting the role as Linda in Sam Raimi's classic The Evil Dead, the grueling shoot of the film, and when she realized that the film had become a pop culture phenomenon. She got into stories of being on set, watching Sam Raimi invent the handheld shot shaky cam movement, and the rumors of the cabin being haunted. Betsy revealed that she was supposed to reprise her role as Linda in Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn and why she couldn't. She also spoke about reuniting with Sam Raimi on Oz: The Great and Powerful, voicing Linda in Evil Dead: The Game, and her upcoming work in the British Disney Show The Wedding Season. Stay tuned!

Thank you to St. Louis, MO's own Eric Nenninger for coming on my show for an interview! Eric talked about attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, his first taste of the entertainment industry as Jared Chirp on The X-Files' Signs and Wonders episode, portraying Cadet Eric Hanson in Malcom in the Middle, and playing Scott Braddock in Jeepers Creepers 2. He told stories of being on set and his experience at the premiere of Jeepers Creepers 2. He got into his love for comedies and stage acting. Eric discussed being apart of CSI's first violent and gory episode, Captain Dave "Captain America" McGraw being the role that he is most proud of throughout his career, and his monologue scene leading Don Draper to retire in Mad Men. Eric also gave advice on how to deal with depression as an actor, what he thinks he needed to master in the craft of acting to become an acting coach, and gave a preview of the upcoming season 2 of HBO's Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, in which he plays Keith Erickson who was the color commentator for the Lakers during the Showtime Lakers era.

Thank you to Oklahoma City's own Jabee for coming on my show for an interview! Jabee talked about his new AM EP, Havoc producing one of his upcoming projects, and being an activist in America. He discussed how police escalate situations, people such as Candace Owens and Hershel Walker hurting the voice of the people, and being arrested around the time of Trayvon Martin murder for wearing a hoodie in an Oklahoma mall. He got into opening up his own pizza restaurant in his neighborhood, wanting to bring Nipsey Hussle down to Oklahoma before he passed away, and being a part owner of the Tower Theatre. Jabee also spoke about record labels dumbing down Hip-Hop today, teaching Hip-Hop Studies at the Academy of Contemporary Music, KD bringing him out to perform for an NBA All Star charity game at halftime while he was still playing with the Thunder in 2011 during the NBA lockout, and winning two Emmy Awards. D4M $loan talked about his earliest Hip-Hop memory, starting out as a boxer, and remembering his close friend/collaborator Skiano. He discussed getting on easy when it came to his music because he was always known in West Philly, not experiencing hate, and speaking with Beanie Sigel recently. He got into signing a million dollar deal with AWAL, what he learned about the TV & film world while playing Darnell on Bel-Air, and how his next project will evolve from his first project Full Moon. Thank you to Boston, Massachusetts' own Erica Pinkett for coming on my show for an interview! Erica talked about reprising her role as Tina in Secret Society 2 Never Enough, the obstacles that she faced trying to make it in the industry, and manifesting being in 2Pac's biopic All Eyez on Me, in which she portrayed Briana based on Ayanna Jackson who falsely accused 2Pac of rape. She discussed meeting Winsome Sinclair who casted 2Pac in the 1992 classic film Juice and 10 months later receiving a call from her with the opportunity to audition for All Eyez on Me. She got into working with Demetrius Shipp Jr., the unfortunate backlash that the biopic faced, and how to avoid being typecast in reality TV. Erica also talked about the Black History that is not being highlighted in Boston, her book & script that she is working on, and her upcoming projects that she has on the way. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Richmond, VA's Chad Coleman for coming on my show for an interview! Chad talked about playing Dennis Wise aka Cutty on The Wire, The Wire turning 20 years old this year, and his time on set with Method Man. He discussed being a foster kid and giving back to foster kids today. He got into his time in the army, filming the first music video for the army, and doing PSA's with the Celtics, Jets, & Giants. He spoke about his first role as an actor as a stand-in on The Cosby Show, playing Z on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and his role as Tyreese in The Walking Dead. He also got into his fight scene with Andrew Lincoln, precautions that should be taken with working with firearms on set, and his memories of Michael K Williams. Chad also talked about voicing Coach in the Left 4 Dead 2 video game, his Humble Hollywood Podcast, his upcoming work, and wanting to do a new/different interpretation of The Elephant Man.
