DJ Mad Max is working to bridge the gap between old & new school Hip-Hop through his show Sports and Hip-Hop with DJ Mad Max. With his vast Hip-Hop knowledge and unique interview style, he is introducing his generation to the legends that started it all. The show features a wide variety of guest stars including Hip-Hop artists of the past & present, R&B artists, producers/DJs, industry managers, and even pro athletes. When possible guest rappers bless the show with a freestyle. Max likes to mix it up and talk sports with his Hip-Hop guests, and Hip-Hop with his sports guests.

Big thank you to the Bronx's own Chris Rivers for coming on my show for an interview! Chris discussed his new album Apophenia with his collective Oswin Benjamin and Denzil Porter, how this collective formed, and that his monumental album to put his career on the map will be on the way soon. He shared memories of being with his father, the late great Hip-Hop icon Big Pun, on tour and being around him while he was recording in the studio. He got into forgiving his father for the abuse, his Big Pun tribute song Sincerely Me, and how it felt when his father got his own plaza, the Big Pun Plaza, in the Bronx. He got into being apart of a rap group with Benzino's son at 8 years old and that deal with Interscope getting shelved because of Benzino's beef with Eminem at the time. Chris talked about overcoming his depression, being homeless, and when he started to take his rap career into the public eye. He also got into his bond with Styles P, who he wants to collaborate with, and what would make him sign a major record deal. Chris announced that he has music videos from Apophenia and more music dropping soon. Stay tuned!

Thank you and shoutout to the South Bronx's own B-Lovee for coming on my show for an interview! B-Lovee talked about his upcoming winter tour, what he learned from working with G-Herbo, and meeting Jim Jones this past weekend at DJ Self's birthday party. He discussed why it is important for him to sample legends such as Mary J. Blige on his records, performing at Madison Square Garden, and the advice that Meek Mill gave him. He got into the importance of giving back, his acting debut, and his new record that is set to drop this week called Don't Change. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to legendary New York sports radio host Joe Benigno for coming on my show for an interview! Joe discussed his New York Jets fandom, that Zach Wilson may be their franchise quarterback, and if Robert Saleh will be gone after next year if he doesn't produce a winning season. He talked about meeting Joe Namath for the first time, the most painful Jets losses over the years, and what the Jets should do this offseason. He got into his 25-year career at WFAN, attending the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, and his relationship with both Mike Francesa and Don Imus. He also talked about starting his own independent platform and podcast called Oh the Pain Podcast. Joe releases two episodes a week, one on Monday and one Friday. He revealed that once football season is over, he will be having a guest based show. Stay tuned!

Thank you and shoutout to Morrisville PA's own Asher Roth for coming on my show for an interview! Asher discussed his new album The Greenhouse Effect, Vol. 3, his upcoming EP with Heather Grey, and the positive enlightenment of his new song All Add Up. He got into the importance of B-Sides on Hip-Hop records, originally pursuing an Elementary Education major at West Chester University, and being managed by Scooter Braun. He talked about his hit song I Love College and his thoughts on it over the years. He also discussed about what made him become so positive and change his mind frame to promote positivity in his music. He also got into his songs that he made with The Game, the Peter Roth project with Pete Rock that was supposed to happen years ago, and his song Last Man Standing featuring Akon making Madden 12. Asher reflected on his Hip-Hop career so far and revealed that he wants to start signing artists to his own label as his next goal. Stay tuned for Asher's upcoming EP with Heather Grey dropping soon!

Shoutout to Brooklyn's own Jufu for coming on my show for an interview! Jufu talked about his experience of growing up in Brooklyn, becoming a Hip-Hop star on TikTok, and his new partnership with WorldStrides. He discussed signing to Universal, having a spiritual connection with XXXTENTACION, and his song Just Do It making Madden NFL 21. He got into attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, his passion for directing, and designing for Puma. He also gave his thoughts on social media Algorithms and violence in the Brooklyn Hip-Hop scene. He announced that he is dropping his new single in February and a new project soon. Stay tuned!

Huge thank you to the legendary Harlem and Dipset's own Jim Jones for coming on my show for an interview! Jim Jones talked about his upcoming album Gangsta Grillz dropping this Friday January 14th, Big Pun taking him to strip clubs, and Dipset. He got into the positives of being loyal to a fault in this industry, having conversations with Michael Strahan about doing the We Fly High Ballin' dance at New York Giants games, and the importance of artists being vocal about politics and what is going on in society in their music. He confirmed that he has more work with RSONIST of The Heatmakerz on the way, which he wants to be El Capo 2. He also discussed his upcoming Hitmaker album, Nas liking a record that he sent him, and a possible Diplomats movie.

We talked about the New York Jets' 2022 Season, their loss to the Buffalo Bills yesterday, and Zach Wilson progressing in the last five games of the season. We discussed what the Jets should and may do in this year's 2022 NFL Draft and Free Agency. We also got into the passing of NY Jets Hall of Fame wide receiver Don Maynard, the Giants keeping Joe Judge, the Dolphins firing Brian Flores, and our predictions for who will play in the Super Bowl.

Thank you to Charlotte, North Carolina's own Reuben Vincent for coming on my show for an interview! Reuben discussed signing to Roc Nation, meeting Jay-Z for the first time, and the story of how he signed to 9th Wonder's Jamla Records. He talked about his life story of growing up in Charlotte, having his song placement No Problems in Madden NFL 20, and wanting to win at the Oscars in 10 years. He got into keeping his composure when meeting Kendrick Lamar, being in the studio with Busta Rhymes, and the need for more work to be done in regards to police brutality as well as social injustice. He also talked about when he started to believe in the power of manifestation, manifesting being apart of Roc Nation, and putting a lot of time into his debut album. He did not reveal a date for his debut album, but mentioned that he has work with Swizz Beats, Rapsody, and more major artists on the way. Stay tuned!

Big thank you to Hip-Hop legend and one of the greatest emcees/lyricists of all time Ras Kass for coming on my show for an interview! Ras Kass talked about his classic album Soul On Ice, exposing racism as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas on Nature of the Threat, and the story behind clearing the Al B. Sure! Oooh This Love Is So sample for his song Anything Goes. He discussed his thoughts on racism in America, religion, and America as well as the Hip-Hop audience turning its back on lyrical Hip-Hop. He got into hanging out with Big L, being in The Tunnel with Big Pun, and being at Fat Joe's John Blaze video shoot. He also told the story of hanging out with Nas and Jay-Z on the same day that Ether dropped. He revealed what he has heard from rappers in the industry such as Bone Thugs-N-Harmony that these record companies did and are doing as far as keeping real lyrical Hip-Hop music from being sold and promoted. Ras also got into Kanye West and how he played him The College Dropout before it released. He mentioned possibly moving out of America and relocating to Portugal. He revealed that he has a project with Havoc and RJ Payne on the way that will be releasing next year in 2022. Stay tuned!
